State Board of Education member wants resolution to push back against Obama administration's transgender guidelines

State Board of Education member wants resolution to push back against Obama administration's transgender guidelines

June 3, 2016:
Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson, making a rare appearance before the state board Thursday, said he believes that the federal guidance is “unlawful” because it changes federal rules without prior notice or allowing public comment....He said the guidance, by not requiring students to provide medical evidence of transitioning to the opposite sex, “puts school districts in a very difficult position.”.....

You mean testosterone-infused adolescent boys might say on any given day that they are "transitioning" to gain access to the girls showers and locker room in the gym? Never! And if one of those boys sexually assaults a girl there, the schools might get sued by the girl's parents? C'mon....that's not even a remote legal risk to schools..

...Peterson said his office has not made a final determination on whether Nebraska would join other states in a Texas lawsuit challenging the guidance or whether Nebraska would file a legal challenge of its own....In the lawsuit, the states contend that the federal government has a duty to “enforce the law of the land, and not rewrite it by administrative fiat.”....Peterson said the guidance doesn’t consider the effect that the policy could have on children who’ve been victims of sexual assault...

You mean that actual real women and girls should have priority in consideration when allowing people to get naked behind doors marked "women"???? What kind of blasphemy is this?! :eusa_snooty:

I hope Nebraska has the 'nads to join the lawsuit.

How about doing away with Gym and just have unisex bathrooms...

I mean the majority of Americans raise their children to be fat and out of shape so why have Gym or any form of sports in school in the first place?

I believe School should be for education and gym class could educate children to keep themselves in physical shape but the majority of them do not care, so again do away with Gym class.

As for the bathroom issue, well unisex single stall bathrooms... Solves everything, well except your wish to make everyone smell your shit...

Your solution to accommodate insane men pretending to be women = "shut down the physical education program in schools". Sure. It's not like they've proven that stimulating the body and keeping it fit helps tone the mind and results in better test scores and education overall (like a million studies confirm that independently) And it's not like we have a child obesity crisis which leads to adult obesity, disease and early death from children being too sedentary.

Nope, the solution is: no dicks and testicles in the women's or girls' bath, shower or locker room. Very simple. Very effective. Nothing changes. Doesn't cost a dime. If a boy thinks he's a girl, he belongs on a shrink's couch or in a mental institution if that doesn't set him right. He DOES NOT belong behind doors marked "girls" or "women"...

An updated article: the school board deadlocked on the vote Friday June 3, 2016. The debating continues though... Nebraska ed board deadlocks on response to federal transgender guidance

Flint said he was concerned about the ease with which students could declare their gender identity. The guidance is “too loosey-goosey. It’s based on how people feel that day,” he said....The guidance says the federal law known as Title IX, which prohibits sex discrimination, also encompasses discrimination based on gender identity. Issued jointly May 13 by the U.S. Departments of Education and Justice, it calls on schools to accommodate students based on their gender identity. Gender identity, it says, refers to a person’s “internal sense of gender.”...The guidance also says students do not need a medical diagnosis or treatment to prove their gender identity.

Here's how that underlined part reads to me legally: "We are justifying allowing boys using the girls room from a psychological condition. However, no proof whatsoever from a psychologist or other qualified health practitioner will be required to show the boy has that condition. It's on the honor system...of adolescent boys....using the girls showers..."

Amber Parker, who is running for the school board in the Millard district and wrote a book on the biblical view of family, urged the board to consider the effect on sexual abuse victims....Parker said she was sexually abused as a child. She said she was “a little protector” trying to make sure that a teacher or man didn’t follow her classmates into the bathroom.....“Anyone who will come against the innocence of any child in this state of Nebraska, including the president of the United States of America, we will fight,” she said.

This, released June 2, 2016, is going to interfere with the fed's defense if the multi-state lawsuit against it:

Johns Hopkins Psychiatrist: Transgender is ‘Mental Disorder;' Sex Change ‘Biologically Impossible’
(CNSNews.com) -- Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the former psychiatrist-in-chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital and its current Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry, said that transgenderism is a “mental disorder” that merits treatment, that sex change is “biologically impossible,” and that people who promote sexual reassignment surgery are collaborating with and promoting a mental disorder... This assumption, that one’s gender is only in the mind regardless of anatomical reality, has led some transgendered people to push for social acceptance and affirmation of their own subjective “personal truth,” said Dr. McHugh. As a result, some states – California, New Jersey, and Massachusetts – have passed laws barring psychiatrists, “even with parental permission, from striving to restore natural gender feelings to a transgender minor,” he said...

Dr. McHugh also reported that there are “misguided doctors” who, working with very young children who seem to imitate the opposite sex, will administer “puberty-delaying hormones to render later sex-change surgeries less onerous – even though the drugs stunt the children’s growth and risk causing sterility.”...Such action comes “close to child abuse,” said Dr. McHugh

Dr. Paul McHugh...He is listed in good standing currently as a Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry still, to this very day at Johns Hopkins. And what that means is, he speaks for them as a unit. He made a similar press release a couple months back to a flurry of fury from the Church of LGBT. And still, Johns Hopkins embraces him and won't let go.

So the lawsuit from the states could properly be called "Johns Hopkins vs The Fed's Lack of Clarity on Transgender"....because that's what it's going to boil down to.
