As Trudeau warns about the "erosion of democracies" around the world, he is forming coalition-like power grabs to rule Canada beyond 2025.

Are you starting to get it yet?

With or without forming new coalitions, Trudeau is pretty secure as P.M. that long because of the C/conservative opposition being unorganized and in disarray.

And of course his minority government is already empowered by the NDP, as long as Trudeau doesn't attempt to stray too far right.

This is good for the agenda of socially responsible government because Trudeau needs to stay close to the NDP.

Anyone who is staying informed should be able to say how the Liberals and the NDP could have a falling out that would allow the Conservatives to get a foot back in the door. Are you?

” Conservative interim leader Candice Bergen told a press conference Tuesday. “This deal means that Canadians have woken up to, in essence, an NDP-Liberal majority government.”

Politically astute Canadians are fully aware of that already.
The Conservatives could possibly try to paint Canada's government as 'communists', but would that old saw still work?

Even with this agreement, I fully expect him to go to an election in 2023. The life of a minority parliament is just over 18 months, and by then, there will be a new Conservative leader in place whom Trudeau will want to test in an election. There has also been media speculation Trudeau could give up politics by that time, so that would only increase the likelihood of a vote because any new PM will want a mandate of his or her own.
