Right now a lower middle class guy who wins a new car in a lottery will never have a chance to drive it. He has to sell it in order to pay the up front confiscatory capital gains tax. A family that has lived on the same farm for two hundred years might have to sell it off to pay the confiscatory capital gains tax even though they have done nothing but inherit it. They don't call it the "death tax" for nothing". The president wants to give the middle class a break and the crazy left whines about it. No surprises here.
