trump on FOX news interview admits he withheld documents and denies he showed them to others

I expect trump's lawyers are pulling their hair out, right now.
That's their own fucking fault for representing a flagrant liar, a mentally ill con man.

Here's the funny thing: This is admissible in court. Intent. Willfulness. Jack Smith wouldn't have EVER been able to get him on the stand, and NOW he doesn't HAVE to.

Incredible.

Intent is one of the hardest things to prove in court. trump gave the DOJ a gift on a silver platter when he admitted it was his "intent" to hold back the documents. That is a game changed. The DOJ gave trump over a year of asking and prodding and he refused to give the documents up. Then he lied to his lawyer about giving them back and moved the boxes around in an effort to conceal them.

If trump gets away with these crimes, every person in prison for mishandling classified documents needs to be set free.

Bingo, yes.

Again we have to ask: How can any lawyer be so stupid as to represent this person? You're right, they're no doubt pulling their hair out. Why DO that to yourself?

There's a lot of legal nuances in witchhunt #3729, and I'd just as soon defer to the experts.

What do these two think about it?

No crimes, he was well and is well within the law.
You know what the law is right jimboliar??

He is trying to skew the "documents " statement to say it was news clippings. That will not fly, when he clearly says he could have declassified the "documents" when he was president. The man is a skilled liar.
He did declassify them.
And the most significant document criminals, Democrats, have gone scott free jimboliar. You know that.
