My first thinking of what was wrong were the bank and arms scandals. The deficit spending sucked of course. Race relations seemed like they were getting better. Foreign polucy was a great and terrible. We finished winning the cold war. We set up our next wars. We had no silly wall.

The notion that universities target only conservative speech for ‘discrimination’ is a lie; it’s both appropriate and warranted to guard against the violence associated with rightwing hate speech.
