That means that Welch's grape juice, Tyson's pork and California almonds will remain subject to tariffs in Japan, for example, while competitors' products from countries participating in the new Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership will eventually be duty-free.

Japan will offer similar tariff relief to the European Union, in a separate trade deal set to go into effect on February 1.

"Our competitors in Australia and Canada will now benefit from those provisions, as US farmers watch helplessly," said US Wheat Associates President Vince Peterson at a hearing on the potential negotiations with Japan.

Lets see how long those midwest farmers undying love for dotard holds out while they watch all of those deals being made for products next year, in a new market they can't participate in.

Well, considering the lions share of support for all the nations you mention have had a long free ride off the American taxpayers backs....
This is GREAT NEWS !!

These nations are making a deal with the devil. The "EASY" way out. But ultimately to their owndetriment.
This is what Americans have done to themselves by becoming addicted to the "Devils offering" of low prices from Chinese goods.

CLEARLY China is a Global Super Power ROUGE nation that has no problem broadcasting it's intents to dominate the world through hook or crook.

And we should offer ZERO protection down the road for those nations that stab us in the back.

Hosreshit, corporations in price competition did that.

Corporations are NOTHING without willing CONSUMERS
No, sorry, you have no idea what you are talking about. You can't go to Kroger and choose between a cheap Chinese roll of foil and an American, more expensive roll of foil. Corporations in price competition will always stock the shelves with the cheapest goods. Consumers will always choose the lowest prices from what is available to them. If those shelves are stocked with American goods, then American goods are what they will have to choose from.

Let’s worry about some Grape juice and almonds as that is more important than protecting our higher end industries. Lets keep allowing foreign countries steal our intellectual property increasing their ability to compete with us in technology. These one-sides articles that liberals love are as short-sighted as their reader base.

Leftist scream about corporate welfare but have no problem with illegal laborers.

Leftist scream about the low minimum wage but don’t realize how it is still possible for large corporations to still offer that wage and who is driving that.

Leftist want open borders in the USA and then blame the right for the high cost of government services and spending.

Wake up and smell the reality.

You confuse your Communist fantasies with American capitalism out of hatred, envy and ignorance

Exactly Einstein. Who is it exactly you plan on selling your products to, aliens from another galaxy?

You do know you support a failure that filed for bankruptcy 6 different times right?

You know, the guy that thinks China is part of the TPP?

let me guess....you are certain Ocasio-Cortez is the economic and social leadership we need?
Moron....THAT is failure. That is the essence of failure yet you embrace it.

In your Communist Marxist mind, The People have no power.
My point Einstein, is that you cannot carte blanc blame corporations.
So when people like you can't see how supporting a Communist Regime with a horrible human rights history is bad, then people like Trump have to do things, sometimes painful things, to set things right.

I want you to deny Communist China is the dirtiest global player the field. Deny China is a problem. G'head...make an even greater fool of yourself. prove your Stalinist leanings.

And another thing....
You presently have ZERO business knowledge. A Community organizer at best.
Strategic bankruptcy is not proof of incompetence, otherwise nearly every corporation would be guilty.
It's a BUSINESS STRATEGY to cut losses and preserve profitability.

But you would not know such things.

Trump never filed for personal bankruptcy.
Many companies have filed for bankruptcy, and come soaring back. Marvel, Dell and , Soros backed Waypoint leasing, Six Flags, United Airlines, American Airlines, etc, etc, etc

How Casinos Failed Atlantic City and Why They're Still Part of Its Future 2015 article
Three of the four recently shuttered casinos have gone through bankruptcy: Revel filed for bankruptcy for the second time on June 19; Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, owned by Trump Entertainment Resorts, filed its latest Chapter 11 petition on Sept. 9; and the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel filed on Nov. 6, 2013. Showboat Atlantic City, owned by Caesars Entertainment Operating Co., closed shop before the gaming company's voluntary Jan. 15 Chapter 11 filing.

The run of bad news prompted Sweeney to publicly lament that the city and its boosters had been "knocked down."

So if we're not exporting all those food items & other products for greedy profits...….that would mean a glut market here, forcing prices down so Americans can afford to buy them???
They may have to settle for fewer profits, but wouldn't have as much costs either and more consumers would buy, which also means fewer hungry & less need for public assistance.

And this is a problem???
