Trump's Investments in Turkey, basically a complicated relationship, with the owners of the Trump Towers being opposed to Erdogan and wanting to end their relationship with Trump. According to this article (scroll to Turkey), they had disagreed with Erdogan since 2012:

another article says they wanted to end their relationship with Trump in 2015, but couldn't:

Flynn was a paid Turkish agent, and even got Trump to stop support for the Kurds for a while, it seems:

as a side note, his Turkish contact has Russian links:

Trump has not said anything, as far as I know.

If not illegal, at best, his complicity and support for Erdogan's authoritarian regime, as well as his lack of support for U.S. citizens, is highly immoral.

Well, those guys have diplomatic immunity by law, so Trump is somewhat limited plus he must weigh creating a rift in a needed ally, but I'm not real happy about it, and I think Trump will address it somehow in the future in one of his subtle or not so subtle ways. Lesson learned: If you expect to be a Kurd protesting and antagonizing a hostile foreign entity that you know hates you, be a little prepared to defend yourself and don't be weeny! Meantime, I might file a lawsuit against the DC Police for not protecting my ass.
