Trump not bringing on attorney diGenova just days after his hiring was announced - CNNPolitics

I mean...who else out there with firm experience in conspiracy theories is available? Who is his lawyers now. Jillian...you want to give it a try?

Your title is wrong. Trump didn't turn them down. THEY turned Trump down. Even says so in your link.........................

President Donald Trump's attorney announced Sunday that a veteran Washington husband-and-wife legal duo will not join Trump's team handling the Russia probe.
"The President is disappointed that conflicts prevent Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing from joining the President's Special Counsel legal team," his lawyer, Jay Sekulow, said in a statement. "However, those conflicts do not prevent them from assisting the President in other legal matters. The President looks forward to working with them."

They were asked to be on the Russian defense team, and because they didn't want to, the polite way to refuse was to say there was a conflict of interest, which they did. There are very few lawyers that want to get involved in the Russia defense of Trump.

But, if you want a running list of lawyers that Trump has asked publicly and they turned him down, here's a list for ya.................

A Running List Of Lawyers And Law Firms Who Have Refused To Represent The President Of The United States

Here’s a running list of law firms and attorneys who have decided they don’t want to represent the president. Please send a note to [email protected] if there are firms that we’re missing or attorneys who have been approached that we just don’t know about. Here’s who we do know about:

  • Brendan Sullivan, Williams & Connolly: Sullivan represented Oliver North after the Iran-Contra scandal, but won’t represent Donald Trump.
  • Paul Clement, Kirkland & Ellis: Clement defended DOMA — the Defense of Marriage Act — and was a leading litigator in the constitutional challenges to Obamacare. But he won’t represent the leader of the Republican party.
  • Mark Filip, Kirkland & Ellis: Filip is a big-time white-collar defense lawyer who served as Deputy Attorney General in the George W. Bush administration. He was unwilling to return to government work to help defend the current president.
  • Robert Giuffra, Sullivan & Cromwell: Guiffra represents Volkswagon in its litigation about using devices to thwart clean-air standards, and defended UBS from disaffected Enron shareholders. Defending Trump’s financial dealings from Robert Mueller was apparently not something he wanted to do.
  • Emmet Flood, Williams & Connolly: Emmet Flood represented Bill Clinton in his impeachment hearing. Of course, Clinton was impeached (just not convicted), and we know that Trump prefers soldiers who never captured.
  • Robert S. Bennett, Hogan Lovells: Bennett represented Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones dispute. Seems relevant.
  • Theodore Olson, Gibson Dunn: Ted Olson represented George W. Bush in the Bush v. Gore case where the Supreme Court chose the American president. And he wants no part of Trump.

You may be correct. The reason was "conflicts." Conflicts like their client would be as unhinged as a broken screen door.

trump is scaring the legal world to death...

Trump doesn’t take his advisers’ advice and the blames others when things don’t go well. Plus he treats employees like shit. No lawyer wants that kind of client.

Trump also has a reputation for not paying his legal bills. Didn’t Cohen complain he hadn’t been reimbursed for his Stormy Daniels hush money payment?

I can’t think of a single reason why anyone would take the case.

Bob Bennett has character, unlike his brother, Bill. Has Trump contacted him?

He'll be OK. Even though there aren't any criminal lawyers left out there that want to ruin their reputations by representing him, a judge will appoint an attorney for him.
