Trumps Executive order Fu+ks People with Pre-Existing Conditions

Why would he do this to millions of sick people getting treatments for survival , including young children?.

Separately, the order would allow consumers to buy short-term policies, which don't have to comply with Obamacare's protections for those with pre-existing conditions. Also, it looks to broaden the ability of employers to give workers money to buy their own coverage through health reimbursement arrangements, known as HRAs.

They can still buy Obamacare, so how are they being screwed?

there is no such insurance policy as "Obamacare".... but diminishing the coverage and creating higher prices screws people who who need coverage most.

you just aren't smart enough to understand that.... or decent enough to cared.

How many "millions" signed up for Obamacare's PCIP? And if you don't know what PCIP you are one of the above two characteristics.

PCIP ended in 2014, once Obamacare became available.

No I am not---I have 16K posts on this board and it's easy to look at my past posts to see where my political leanings were.. You'll find out very quickly that I was a life long Republican UNTIL your Ass clown was nominated as the Poster Boy of the Republican party.
Your positions have nothing to do with President Trump. Every single time you talk policy, you support radial failed left-wing policy. You’re such a quintessential progressive, you actually blame President Trump for being a quintessential progressive (blame / failure to take personal responsibility is the primary trait of the left).

Own it. Stop being a little bitch, and own it. It’s so immature to attempt to gain credibility by pretending to be a conservative.

but that does not mean they are not billed by the hospital and they pay for what they can....and the government does not reimburse the hospitals for it, that I am aware of.....?

Since cancer treatment I have been to the Emergency Rooms several times.. it is jammed pack out the door with people who do not have insurance, and use it like a doctors office .. A bandage is $500.00... It is only going to get worse if Obamacare disappears.. and I am sure many can not afford to pay such a bill.

I also know someone who slammed Obamacare...had no insurance, and had a emergency surgery for a ruptured appendix.
He was in the hospital for over a week...with care that continued on for a long time..

I am sure that bill is over $700.000 ... even if he pays $100.00 a month...tax payers are stuck with that bill.

These dummies don't see that they are going to pay more for insurance and taxes for others medical care... lol
The Trump administration conveniently doesn't mention this..

Well, I guess that they are going to throw me in the slammer, then, because I made a very good living as a health insurance executive for 50 years...

Yeah, you so funny.....NOT! You were selling snake-oil. Read the link I provided and provide something other than stupid rhetoric. Otherwise I have to conclude that you don't care to research what you write or even do.

Leo, as VP of health and life underwriting for 35 years, i am pretty sure that I know who was insurable and who was not. The underwriting manual was designed to weed out 25% to 30% of individual applicants, including all pregnant women, It was 3 inches thick, and the ratio of declinations to acceptance for people over age 55 was 40%, and over 60 was 50%. The declinations were uninsurable at any price. now, if you want to go after all of the life and health insurance educational designations that I earned, including HIAA, CLU, ChFC, FLIMI, etc, please do so, and then come back and talk to me about this subject, which you presently know absolutely nothing about.

You only underwrote what you were told to underwrite using government regulations and failed business models. I don't blame you it's a whole system that government made dysfunctional as liberal, socialist policies that, instead of actually spreading the risk so that health care is affordable, made it so that every one was/is equally miserable. Tell me Mr. VP of health and life insurance....Why would you consider a human being uninsurable? What kind of myopic underwriting manuals were you leashed to? BTW if you VPs of health insurance are so damn smart why is Obamacare so sysfunctional?

Underwrote using government uidelines? Go back to playing with your jacks boy and don't ever pretend to know anything about the current or past insurance regulations. I won't even try and explain you're too damn dumb.

Yes, I agree, they are, all of them, going to be paying more, for every thing health care, if this bill reinstating the CSR subsidies is not passed and if Obama care goes down.....

It's the congress that writes the legislation for Health Care, not TRUMP.
Oh look...the left-wing fascist is suddenly a constitutional conservative when his candidate is not in power.

Here’s the thing my fragile little snowflake - President Trump’s Executive Order is 100% legal. He’s not attempting to alter law (like Barack Insane Obama used to do). All he did was correct an unconstitutional abomination. No more illegal subsidies.

I have never agreed with Executive orders dumbass. I don't how many times I have to tell you that I was a life-long Republican before you made this Ass Clown the poster boy of the Republican party, and then I switched my party status and followed the advice of a long time friend and former staffer of RONALD REAGAN.

Trump's executive order on this is a bullshit executive order--to send a pee stream down your leg.

1. Insurers are not going to change their existing mandates within their policies unless a bill is signed into law.
2. Credible--major health insurers will not sell policies across state lines, (without) charging an extreme premium to meet the existing mandates within Obamacare. (It will still be cheaper to buy in state insurance.)
3. Congress holds the purse strings and they are NOT going to fund an executive order to rearrange a health care system when they have no approved bill to do it.
4. Hospitals and doctors, are not going to accept radom insurance companies billing them for services if they are not licensed in that state to provide medical insurance.
5. It costs millions of dollars for a credible insurance company to move into a state, and they choose the states they want to operate in, not TRUMP.

It's not rocket science.

What Trump has done is open the door wide open to a lot of
FRAUD. There will be people who will open up insurance companies--claiming to provide medical insurance--at a greatly reduced price that will NOT cover catastrophic (hospitalization & surgery) and you Trump supporters will be stupid enough to buy it. You'll be thanking Trump all the way to the hospital until you get your bill.--

You probably will not get this across to the brain dead, but all good points and true.

It was actually the year before leading up to the first year of enrollment. See you didn't know, I don't believe it was advertised (could have been) I can remember about 2 people inquiring about it. One of my co-workers signed someone up for it but the rates were much as they are today and they dropped it after a couple of months after they had some medical problems taken care of. Yep, they stuck someone with high claims.

Wrong! "there was no PCIP AFTER the ACA...."

The Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plans (PCIP) Under 2010’s Health Care Reform Law
The 2010 health care reform law, now referred to as the “ACA” (Affordable Care Act), is much like a jigsaw puzzle. To create comprehensive reform, a number of pieces must be in place. One of the most important pieces prohibits private insurance companies from denying coverage to individuals based upon the fact that they have a pre-existing condition. Until the ACA, most persons covered under a group health insurance plan could be covered even when a pre-existing condition was present. However, individuals with pre-existing conditions but lacking group coverage found health insurance to be either unavailable or prohibitively expensive. Therefore, a critical component of the ACA is that, beginning in 2014, insurers will no longer be able to deny coverage to any individual on the basis that he or she has a pre-existing condition.

and the question was to "jillian" as she evidently didn't "KNOW" what PCIP was and the answer to how many were enrolled?

For those 114,959 people, the PCIP program was no doubt important.
But Democrats could have passed a 5-page bill allocating a few billion dollars a year to covering 114,959 people without upending the entire U.S. health care system.

There was a segment on 60 minutes a few years ago about hospitals overcharging the insured to help pay for the un insured.

This isn't the 60 minutes, but what this guys says is what I've been saying for years, instead of obamacare they should have went after the health care industry.
