You miss the point.
Nato nukes in Sweden or Poland do not threaten Russia because they are outside the Russian defense grid, so any launch would be detected and still retaliated against.
But since Russia used to have nukes INSIDE of the Ukraine, there is no defense grid between the Ukraine and Russia.
That means a launch from the Ukraine could not be detected until it detonated in Russia.
That would mean most of Russia's retaliatory force could be wiped out on the ground.

I disagree Zelensky has any valid point at all.
His government is not valid, and was the result of Hunter Biden bribing ethnic Polish generals to commit treason against the Ukraine in 2014.
Zelensky's government is invalid because it failed to stop or punish the Azov Battalion from committing mass murder of ethnic Russian civilian natives of the Ukraine.
Zelensky's government is also invalid because of their many treaty violations, such as trying to prevent Moscow from using Sevastopol, trying to put NATO nukes on Russia's border, etc.

Seems that Ukraine had not been operating a fascist government for quite a long time. And Yanuovych, who got run out, was a Putin puppet. Putin wants to reconstitute the former Soviet Union. He wants to be considered one of the great Russian leaders. So I don't think giving him Ukraine is a wise idea.
