He is saying that the Ukraine is not some innocent democracy that we should feel sorry for. Ukraine is a highly corrupt Government and we should stay out of it. If you knew history, you would know that Ukrainians when the Nazis marched onto the Soviet Union, initially sided with the Nazis and helped them round up and exterminate Jews. Bad blood STILL exists because of that.
