Two Questions for All: First, can we agree that E Pluribus Unum is dead?

Yeah, multiculturalism is cultural marxism and it's the marxists that are the problem. too many comfortable rich white kids think they should be running the show and they never get punished for their deeds.
Multiculturalism was virtue signaling. Do democrats really care about diversity or is it just political power?

Before the Marxists obtained power, they went around talking about the value of diversity and tolerance. In other words, tolerate us and embrace our new way of thinking

But once in power, they seize Twitter and all forms of mass media to censor and punish anything they don't approve of.

That is why drag queens teach children in school, while God is forbidden from being discussed.

Interesting piece here: America Is Growing Apart, Possibly for Good

Go ahead and point the finger at the other tribe, but can we all at least agree that the phrase E Pluribus Unum no longer applies to America?

And second question, to the Republicans: You've often mentioned here that you'd like to geographically separate from those with whom you disagree. We appear to be seeing just that, as states divide themselves by intensity of religious belief and ideological dogma. Do you feel victorious about that? Vindicated?

Bonus question: Can we agree that America is no longer "exceptional"?

I agree. We pump out more porn than any nation combined, produce hardly anything, import just about everything. What's exceptional about that?

When doing the better thing becomes more important than joining a label, & we realize that both party's are a mess & very self serving, Working together has always been better than division.

Secession is the answer. They gulf is to wide between the ideologies.
All states need to do is recapture their original powers under the Constitution.

That was the beauty of it. That way you could have 50 lab experiments to show who has the better ideas you can either adopt for your own state or reject.

But as we all know socialism refuses to compete, because losing to anything or suggesting they don't have all the answers to everything is unacceptable.

Yep, and that's also a function of our system: Collaboration and innovation are now somehow considered weakness.

We're 180 degrees out of whack, and this is the predictable result.

It's all a farse. Once put in office, or as I call it the Orifice, there is a myriad of ways to secure power.

That is why Congress has had an approval rating under 20% for decades now as they all keep getting reelected anyway. That is our democracy?

Add to that the fact that anytime I so much as see a picture of Nancy Pelosi or Chuck U Schumer or Lindsey Graham, my blood pressure increases by at least 10 points.

They just sit around slinging poo at each other all day showing the world how corrupt they all are and how all of them should be impeached. Meanwhile, nothing is ever done except Star Chamber public trials where you can't defend yourself.

Come on Votto! You know members of Congress cannot be impeached. Why did you say that?

You hate Nancy, Chuckie and Lindsey. Big fucking deal! The voters in their districts or state apparently like what they are doing because they get reelected.

Until my recent move, my Senators were Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul. There are many people outside my state that would like to see them term limited. I think they should serve until someone better comes along, and that has not happened.

No.

This is melodrama,IMO. We will adjust to the new normal and have a new court within a generation.

Talk to someone alive in 1968. It was more tense. More violent. More divided. Look at the protest signs on both sides, back then. "Death to... (the other side)". Cops were regularly pulling over people and beating them senseless, just because they were perceived as being the long hair hippie druggy bra burners. Parents were beating their daughters over catching them with rock and roll records. Black men were still being beaten in the streets over dating white women.

I could go on...

We already have term limits on Congress and you damn well know it. They are called elections. You don't get to decide my Congressional reps and I don't mess with yours.

A balanced budget every year would kill the economy. Lots of people make money off the national debt.

Profiting off the back of destroying the country. Bravo.

And we limit them by voting them back into office at a greater than 90% clip...and then wonder why things never get any better

Why should anyone get to decide if I like my Senators and Congressman and want them to continue to serve?

I believe the reason things never get any better is Democrats.

I recently moved from a state with Congressional reps who were all Republican to another state where all of my Congressional reps are all Republicans. I like that very much!

Granted we are in bad shape when one branch of government justifies (encourages) violence directed at another branch of government. That having been said the administration of a doddering old fool is just a glitch in history.
