Frack baby frack!!

"Data released Friday by U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) for October showed that U.S. oil production could reach 10 million barrels a day by end of 2017.

The U.S. oil production in October was over 298 million barrels, or 25 million barrels more than that in January. And its production capability was over 9.6 million barrels a day, or 9.2 percent higher than January.

"U.S. crude oil production in October rose to the highest in more than 46 years and the production is expected to continue rising in 2018 to past historical level recorded in 1971 which will have significant effects on global energy balance..."

Increasing oil production in a world that is rapidly moving away from it is like increasing whale oil production after crude oil was discovered.

The days of Nantucket and Texas are nearing their end.

What kind of fantasy world do you live in? The world's oil consumption is not decreasing. Just about everything you buy is either made out of oil or required oil to manufacture it.

Does this mean we could see $1.00 gas again?

That would be nice. I think much of the oil goes to manufacturing though, and not made into gasoline. If we hadn't had a bunch of crackpot environmentalists and tax-freaks, there would have been more refineries built and fewer taxes on gasoline.

Whose chart is that, Exxon Mobil's?

Here's a couple of charts a lot closer to reality.

And fossil fuels will peak in 2020.

China and India are both moving away from combustion engine vehicles that will collapse the oil industry.

While fossil fuels will still be around for awhile, renewables and especially solar are replacing them at a much faster rate than was thought earlier.

You're still mistakenly thinking of oil as being only a "fuel". Do you have any idea how much worldwide manufacturing is using petroleum? Virtually everything is either made out of oil or requires oil at some stage of the manufacturing process, and the world's oil consumption is not going to level off. Nor will it be replaced by any other form of energy.

So are some EU countries,,.....I don't think they have thought it through or have a chance in hell of making it. Can you imagine the chaos this artificial target will cause. Just another green war on the poor

I live in realville.

In realville automobiles will replace the horse and buggy.

Alternative energy sources will replace fossil fuels.

Are there still horses and buggy's around? Yes

Will fossil fuels still be around? Yes

But the era of the fossil fuel boom is over. Nobody is moving to use more of them, but everybody is moving to use less of them.

The trends are changing year by year, and in another 5 years, even todays estimates of soon fossil fuel will be replaced will be conservative.

Technologies replace other technologies as time goes on. That's just a fact of human evolution and scientific discovery. It's not a matter of ones preference. My vehicles still need gasoline to run, and I will be using it for the rest of my life, being the age I am. Whether or nit my grandson will be remains to be seen, based upon the technology available to him at that time. I hope he lives in a time where fossil fuels won't be the dominant source of energy demand.
