UK Military police investigate claims that soldier made up heroic tale & got medal from Prince Charles, the US should investigate Richard Blumenthal

Nobody wants to open that smelly can O' worms in the U.S. MacArthur Medal of Honor for losing an entire army and abandoning it (under orders). LBJ recommended himself for a Star for riding in a plane that was attacked (or not) by Japanese during WW2. John Kerry self recommended three Purple Heart citations for nothing more than splinters and self inflicted grenade attack. A silver star for executing an unarmed teenage V.C. And the beat goes on?

Blumenthal is up for re-election this year, i hope he loses, though it's kind of a longshot, but Trump has endorsed his young female GOP opponent

Why investigate Blumenthal? Everyone knows he claimed to be Vietnam vet when he never left CONUS.

Congress passed the "Stolen Valor Act" around 2006 and it was signed into law by President Bush. It didn't tale long for the leftie challenge and the Supreme Court , in a lame decision, ruled that the law violated the 1st Amendment right to free speech unless the intent was to gain financially. You could interpret the S.C. decision that politicians gain financially by falsifying military service to get elected but the law seems to be in limbo in that arena.
