The University of Missouri is currently in a state of uproar over alleged racism against Black students. Here's a list of what has taken place >>>
1. SomeONE is said to have drawn a large swastika.
2. Black student leaders have complained of students openly using racial slurs and other incidents.
3. 30 football players have said they will no longer participate in any football related activities until President Tim Wolfe resigns or is removed.
4. The top official at the Missouri campus, Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin, ordered mandatory sensitivity training for faculty and students, and Wolfe later apologized.
5. The head football coach Gary Pinkel tweeted a photo Sunday, of dozens of white and black students standing arm in arm with the message, "The Mizzou Family stands as one. We are united. We are behind our players."
6. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon weighed in today, saying the "concerns must be addressed.""Racism and intolerance have no place at the University of Missouri or anywhere in our state," he said. You may remember him as the guy who failed to use the National Guard, to stop the Ferguson riots, in August 2014.
7. The 30 football players wrote this tweet >> "We will no longer participate in any football related activities until President Tim Wolfe resigns, or is removed, due to his negligence toward marginalized students' experience."
So, here's the question. Amid all this indignation, and being offended by some racial slurs flying around, and one swastika, has the university been discriminating against Whites in its widespread affirmative action programs ? Have Whites been "marginalized" in admissions to the university ? Job hiring ? Job promotions ? Financial aid ? Scholarships ?
The university DOES HAVE an extensive use of affirmative action openly admitted to in its website. How does the university implement these ? If whites are being discriminated in these, are the White guys in the picture shown here aware of it ?
