Scientist: Global Warming Won’t Be Dangerous

Global warming won’t raise global temperatures enough to be dangerous, according to an analysis of satellite data released over the weekend by University of Alabama scientists.

The analysis of satellite data stretches back 37 years and estimates that the temperature increase will be only 1.15° Celsius over the century. Keeping global warming below 2° Celsius by 2100 is the widely accepted goal promoted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the United Nations COP 21 Paris summit. Such a low rate of temperature increase would prevent what global warming alarmists say are the most hazardous impacts of global warming.

The alarmist k00ks in this forum will say they are all FAKE scientists on the oil payroll!!:coffee:

I thought your entire schtick was that global warming isnt even occurring?

Now you agree that global warming is happening. But it wont be so bad.

What changed your mind?

The new line for the denialists is "Try it, you'll like it". Too obvious to all that there old lines, "it ain't happinin", and "it's natural cycles" are no longer viable. As people pump out their flooded basements, and sort through the ashes of homes burned in wildfires covering hundreds of square miles, they can reflect on how much they are liking the change.

never said that s0n.........said plenty of times that the science isnt mattering, which clearly it is not.

Anyway......its the whole "man-made" stuff that is a load of shit!!!:2up::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

This is just more fodder that the science ISNT settled...........not by a long shot.

Referencing floods and fires is the same old same old with these people..........although interesting, they used to hammer away with hurricanes and tornado's too but that stuff hasnt quite worked out for them!!!:boobies::funnyface::boobies:

You certainly see ALOT of sour grapes moaning from the alarmists in here..........c'mon........buckle up your chinstraps and come up with a Plan B s0ns!! Plan A is sucking so far...........

Note the lack of activity on this thread..........the alarmist nutters cant have this thread fall down the page fast enough. What a bunch of weenies!!

Science nuking the "consensus" science..........devastating for the established narrative!!:2up::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

Hmmm............... Devastating for the consensus? Not hardly. Not when, in just this thread you have stated that said consensus exists, and that global warming is definately happening.

Now as to how serious the problems created by this rapid change will be, and what the timeline of those problems will be, is the next question.

Like I said earlier, try to tell the thousands that have lost homes to record flooding and wildfires that cover hundreds of square miles that the present weather extremes are a good thing.

More than 500 homes are lost in Butte wildfire

More than 500 homes have been destroyed in a wildfire that is burning in Calaveras and Amador counties.

The tally comes as thousands of fire personnel continue to make progress against the Butte fire, which has burned 70,760 acres since it erupted Sept. 9.

The blaze, which has killed two people, is now 65% contained, though multiple evacuations remain in place, said Cal Fire spokesman Joshua Rubinstein.

New wildfire in Northern California destroys homes, kills 1

A new wildfire in Northern California destroyed or damaged 10 homes in Monterey County and a body was found among the ashes a week after two other blazes killed five people and destroyed at least 1,400 homes, fire officials said Sunday.

The blaze burning about 2 miles north of the community of Jamesburg quickly grew to 1,200-acres after starting Saturday afternoon, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said.

The person who died has not been identified and authorities are still trying to determine how the person died.

Evacuation advisories were issued for residents of Jamesburg and the nearby community of Cachagua, Cal Fire said.

176 homes were destroyed in the largest wildfire in Washington state history

SEATTLE (Reuters) - Crews battling the largest array of wildfires in Washington state history gained more ground against the flames on Tuesday, as property assessors reported the deadly conflagration had destroyed more than 170 homes and dozens of other structures.

Just a sample of the number of homes lost in the West to wildfires this year.

The whole world has accepted this "consensus"..........but to what end?:dunno:
:dunno:

Its nothing but a scientific billboard for those who pay attention.........which is very few!!

I could say my football team beat an undefeated football team and take lots of bows, but if my teams record is 2-14, nobody cares.:2up:

As a climate skeptic in 2015, Im winning huge!! None of the stuff the climate alarmists hope to do is happening..........and for the next 35+ years at least, fossil fuels will dominate the energy landscape ( well.....that's what the Obama EIA says year after year  ). That means the science isn't mattering........and please with the solar growth stuff. Its anemic at best and a tiny little sliver of the energy pie and will be for many decades.

Ive been dabbling in this forum for 6 years now.........nothing has changed for the alarmist folks. Nothing ( show links otherwise ). But in my camp, much to smile about = since 2010, the concerns of the public as it relates to global warming has taken a swan dive to the very bottom of the well, thus, I win.:bye1:

Hundreds of homes washed away by deadly Texas flooding

Last Updated May 24, 2015 6:32 PM EDT

SAN MARCOS, Texas - Record rainfall wreaked havoc across a swath of the U.S. Midwest on Sunday, causing flash floods in normally dry riverbeds, spawning tornadoes and forcing at least 2,000 people to flee.

Officials said Saturday at least one person died in the flooding in Hays County, reports CBS affiliate KEYE in Austin.

About 350 homes in the town of Wimberley were washed away by flash floods along the Blanco River, which rose 26 feet in just one hour and left piles of wreckage 20 feet high, Texas authorities said.

"We do have whole streets with maybe one or two houses left on them and the rest are just slabs," Hays County emergency management coordinator Kharley Smith said, describing the town of Wimberley, about 40 miles southwest of Austin, where several people were missing.

1,000 Homes in TX Co. Destroyed or Damaged By Flooding

Emergency management officials say more than 1,000 homes in one Central Texas county were either damaged or destroyed in the Memorial Day weekend flooding.

Hays County officials said in a statement Monday that about 320 homes were destroyed and about the same number sustained "major damage." Approximately 375 sustained lesser damage.

And on top of these losses were those in South Carolina's 1000 year flood.

More homes are being destroyed because more homes are being built where they shouldn't be, either on the coasts or in the forests or on the plains. In that sense the destruction is man made.
Fellow, you haven't the faintest idea of what you are talking about. The emphasis this fire season was not fighting forest fires, but attempting to prevent whole towns from being burned.

Rocks one thing you have to take into account that we learn early down here in hurricane country. You can't believe any of the media reports on damage, they are all overblown. My close friend working in South Carolina said the same thing, damage was bad but not near as bad as media reports. The weather channel is in the business of making every weather event the tragedy of th century. Keep asking this question. How did we ever make it this far.

That is the whole ruse of this climate change business.......scaremonger the fuck out of people with all weather anomalies. Weather anomalies that have been happening for time and eternity........the bozo's in here want you to believe this shit started in the last few decades.............

But people who check the record...............:funnyface::funnyface::funnyface::funnyface:............ Chronology of Extreme Weather

Happy Holidays...........

This would be an unusually warm December in Jackson, Miss., or Atlanta, or El Paso, on the Mexican border. In New York City, it is shaping up to be the most abnormally warm month ever recorded, by a lot.

If the forecast for the rest of December is on the mark, the average temperature for the month will be 51.6 degrees — 14.1 degrees above the normal of 37.5. The current record-holder for such deviations is March 1945, which was 8.6 degrees above normal. The city is said to be heading for a soggy, record-shattering high of 72 degrees on Christmas Eve.
