The American "Shock and Awe" approach to war does not dovetail with Putin's current "Cannon Fodder" approach.
If more developed countries are supplying your opposition with advanced weapons, you don't send your best troops and gear in first.

You send in the junk and less valuable assets first to absorb a lot of Javelins, Stingers and whatnot.
You force the people who want to fight to concentrate if possible and self-identify.
You leave the infrastructure intact for future use.

You don't send in the serious troops and assets until after attempts to bring your opposition to the table with negotiations have failed.
President Putin is not trying to liberate Ukraine ... He's trying to commandeer Ukraine.

FoxNews: Colonel Douglas McGregor on the air

Well that was put as about as bluntly as you can put it.....You could tell the "yapper" was not pleased at that frank and real world assessment.

I get that folks like to root for the underdog but they need to pull the blinders off as it regards Ukraine and see it for what it really is....Or was.

Interesting.... Skeptical of a lot of propaganda going on, but this guy seems to be compassionate about his speak, even if his speak is somewhat brutal yet maybe honest in context. Not sure what to think because these kinds of social media speakings are rampant, but this guy seems honest enough, but who knows really, and who knows where he is actually when he done this video ? He could be sitting in a bedroom in Vermont for all we know.

Not sure how much we can gather as truth from social media today, and that seems to be a problematic thing going on for those attempting to rely on SM today. Losing trust of government is another problem that pushes people to social media in order to hopefully find the truth somewhere in it all.

I'm sorry, but this looks, smells and tastes like a propaganda piece: The Russians want to save the Ukrainians but the Ukanians want to kill themselves. Russian conscription good, Ukranian conscription bad. And if every Ukranian man between 18-60 is being conscripted, why is it bad to give them weapons? Better to surrender than resist?

If every man is conscripted and the government is handing out guns, then every man is a combatant, and fair game. Ukraine is handing out guns to women as well, so basically the only civilians in this war are under 18 and over 60. That's on the Ukraine, it was their decision.
