What is his position on Tiawan? Why are you concerned with that?
They've been ahead of the rest of the world in the semiconductor manufacturing industry since the 1980's. It's not like Biden's going to flip a switch and change over to the country relying on domestic production overnight. He's full of hot air and lofty ideas, but doesn't have a clue how to produce real results.
Maybe?
Which is why the Chips and Science law was good for America. It's Taiwan, fucktard, and around 11 months and 3 weeks from him being president.
Why is your question relevant at all?
Biden could still let China invade Taiwan at this point, in which case the manufacture of computer chips will be on hold for quite some time. More than a few years. That happening would set technology progress back around 8 years or so, and some of the best in the industry would be just gone.
So, a yes.Not really.
What is his position on Tiawan?
Irregardless, fucktard: If China invades Taiwan, it's all over for around a decade.Which is why the Chips and Science law was good for America.
Biden has promised to defend Tiawan, has the cheeto messiah?
You really do hate capitalism...US Aims to Announce Big Grants for Chip Plants by End of March

- (Bloomberg) -- The US is aiming to announce major chip grants by the end of March, people familiar with the plans said, paving the way to send billions of dollars to semiconductor makers in a bid to supercharge domestic production.
- The awards — slated to go to Intel Corp. and other chipmakers — are a central piece of the 2022 Chips and Science Act, which set aside $39 billion in direct grants to revitalize US manufacturing.
Intel has said that the grants will determine how quickly it progresses with expansion projects, including a planned facility in Ohio that would be the world’s largest. Overseas chipmakers such as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and Samsung Electronics Co. also are expected to get a portion of the funds, helping them pay for factories in the US.
- The chip companies who are going to MAYBE benefit from this have combined market caps of $5 to 10 trillion dollars. That means that if they really thought that they needed this fab, they could raise the capital from Wall Street in about five minutes.
The companies who are getting the funds know that they need to kick back millions in donations to the Dems.
- The terms of these "awards" include union hiring, DEI requirements for construction and future labor force, tons of environmental contracts to build it (all run by Dems), and lots more second and third level pork for more Dem kickbacks.
- After reviewing all of the hundreds of pages of riders for the award, the TSMC CEO almost backed out, saying that he didn't think that he could make money with all of the woke contract terms.
- He was later "convinced" otherwise.
Especially now that China is experiencing economic turmoil.Irregardless, fucktard: If China invades Taiwan, it's all over for around a decade.
All of it.
And lemme tell you something, if that happens, they're going to scorched earth it, and some things may have
to wait for humans to come up with the same thing again sometime later. If they do at all.
Something that's not a guarantee. China surely won't do it. They haven't yet.
Not too many in the US know what's going on, either.
Government grants is not capitalism, idiot. You really do hate capitalism...
What's the difference?Government grants is not capitalism, idiot.
So, a yes.
HilariousNo, not a $5 - $10 trillion market cap.
Sorry, it's not my job to educate fucktarded commies. What's the difference?
So, you can't explain YOUR position.Sorry, it's not my job to educate fucktarded commies.
The companies chased cheap labor.America led the World in the 70s-80s with Semiconductor Fabrication (Wafers) all over Silicon Valley. Labor, regulations and Taxes killed the golden goose. They began to shut down or move out of state or country. Eventually most overseas. They tried Ore, TX, AZ, Minn even FLA or NY. But most ended up overseas.
the exception are TX INST fabs, some made it thru in Lubbock, Richardson Dallas etc. Even TXN had at least 13 fab sites, but not many here. Intel was huge in Silicon Valley on Bowers and Central in the olden days. Fairchild, National, Maxim, AMD…IBM, LTC, Intersil all mostly gone. They design here, build WFRS over yonder mostly.
The companies chased cheap labor.
Just like the textile companies before them.
So, just stop with the maga stupidity fuckup.
Awwww, butthurt over facts.the only thing you know about any Chips is in your ankle braclet.
