US Dollar is breaking out - global recession is imminent.

a prominent Lebanese politician predicted a global recession and said that a cow will be worth be than your car, whatever he means by that...

Short of a .mil coup you can't stop what's coming.

We will get through 2022 due to the amount of cheap money still in the system but 2023 is going to be rough.....I figure the way it is shaping up we will be in a full blown and deep recession by the second quarter of 2023.

About all congress can do is through austerity measures and they are too self-serving for that.....We will just have to suffer through it as usual as more of the middle class dies.....We are on our own.

I dunno, with so much money being removed from the economy on energy and food prices, I would be shocked to make it to 2023 before all signs point down. A few studies are pointing out, that since Biden took office, the average American family has lost between 47 hundred, to 5400 in buying power from their income per year. That is a big chunk of change, and if you believe reports that over 60% of households are living pay check, to paycheck, there just went all of their disposable income, and then some. And the problem is------------->this is NOT like a targeted tax; which would be bad enough. This affects everyone, right on down the economic ladder. Knowing this, we must realize that the lower middle class, and the poor are getting their clocks cleaned.

Nope, at the very least the end of Q3, we are going to see the affects! Leisure industry 1st, followed closely be eateries, etc.

If it was anyone but a geriatric old fool in the WH that has been on the wrong side of nearly everything for 50 years I might agree but his string pullers don't have anything else in mind but a that "reset" they are going full bore for. They won't be paying a gop congress any mind no matter the margins the dems lose by.
Indeed you only have to see how The Halfrican was hold court at the WH the other day to see what is coming.
A early indicator will be the whole Title 42 thing, if that is lifted next month against bi-partisan congressional objection then we will have their roadmap for the country right before us.
1. You need 60 votes in the senate to do ANYTHING new. So the dems can ignore the republicans, and we're staying in gridlock until 2025, perfect. The less they do the less they can fuckup.

2. If Title-42 goes 2023 will be a battle royal before the 2024 election. Politics will only get uglier and nastier.

Trying to get people to understand the "big picture", is a bit optimistic when you are already $30 trillion in debt.
The way most politicians try to handle it ... Would be like your house being on fire, and the firemen are trying to figure out
how to handle a smoldering bush out by the mailbox.
Damn ... Your neighbor better jump on the lawnmower and start cutting a fire-break..
Exactly. We're going 200 mph toward a concrete wall, and no one is noticing.
That $30T Debt is not going away by itself, and each of us (331m) owe about $91,000 of the Debt
So its not a matter of "if", its a matter of "when" the crap hits the fan and the US government is insolvent, and the US dollar is basically worthless.
Medicare is going bankrupt.
SS is going bankrupt.
Medicaid & Welfare will be bankrupt
The US Defense Department will be unfunded
The Federal Government will be unfunded
IMHO the only hope we have is for the Convention of States to set the US back on a sustainable track.
