Video: we build the wall completes the first half mile of US border wall i n4 days from private dona

Maybe this rhread will answer all the unanswered questions from the last few threads on this topic.[/QUOTE

.

it was built on private land - the El Paso mayor knew nothing about it until it was close to being complete - 1/4 mile close to town, in an area with high border patrol presence - the only issue was its also on federal land- a preserve open to the public- if public access is hampered, it could be taken down.

my opinion-

not much of a splash for $6 million $$$$.

Some of those migrants walked a thousand miles to reach the fence. Walking another half mile to walk around it is probably no big deal.

they dont use it very much anyway because they know border patrol watches that area real close.

not really an impact on illegals - just a nothingburger for RW whiners to crow about.

With all the money they collecred, you would think they could afford an aerial shot of the finished job.

Construction on private border wall continues
Days after construction began, Sunland Park Mayor Javier Perea told the group that the fence was too high and violated city law. However, Perea backtracked on Thursday.

"Upon further investigation, we have determined this is under and M-2, which is industrial zoning and does allow up to 35 feet, as we understand at this moment," Perea said.

Construction is expected to be completed in the next several weeks.

Seems the mayor lost the fight. Lol
