As of last April, a typical gang banger would pay $160 to $175 for a “police caliber” handgun with a full magazine.

Remember, the economics of crime are the same as any other business. A gun is a tool, used by a small segment of the criminal underworld. Proportionally, armed robber Conn Vick’s street gun may represent a greater percentage of their capital investment than MegaBux Mining’s Goliath power shovel.
