An armed conflict between Riyadh and Tehran would have a major impact on oil markets and the global economy. RT asked experts what a war between the two Middle East superpowers would mean for crude prices.

Wouldn't this be perfect to take all the people's focus off these pervert issues and onto this issue then all can be swept under the rug everyone forgets about it and they all walk scott free . Oh the timing.

$300 as a spike is one thing but there are much more proven reserves of Natural gas and oil in the $60-70/bbl range than has yet been brought to market cumulatively. The marginal cost of oil from Kuwait and Iraq is generally $15-/BBL. production is not all out because those two countries have been the traditional battlefield between the Turks, Persians and Arabs for the past 3,000 years or more. The Amazonian, Bolivian and Ugandan fields are huge. Russia, Britain and the US have gigantic fields that are not in production because of coastal land values in the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, Irish, North, Black and Caspian seas. In addition Russia practically the entire country sits on oil shale while Britain has a massive oil field underneath the Gatwick airport.
