Iran might have a video of America's $400 million cash payment to the regime after all -- even though Donald Trump backed off such claims early Friday amid intense criticism. An apparent Iranian TV documentary in February about the prisoner swap in fact shows pallets of cash, which the narrator indicates is the $400 million payment in question. The video was posted to YouTube this week, after new controversy erupted over the payout. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that the payment, made in cash, coincided with the release of four Americans, fueling charges that the U.S. paid...

I don't think anyone doubts at this point that Obama paid ransom for the release of the soldiers, but Obama supporters don't care that he and don't mind him lying to them about it.

Oh yeah................by the way.................the money wasn't for the hostages, it was because we owed them money for the sanctions. If we didn't pay for the lift of the sanctions, it would have cost the US taxpayer a lot more money.

As explained to you numbnuts the two incidents are not linked... The $400 dollar payment goes back to a deal in 1970s where money was charged for undelivered goods... And by the way $1.3bn more is also going to be delivered...

You are misinformed. The money had nothing to do with the sanctions. According to the WH, it was payment of a suit before the Hague that was filed soon after the revolution in Iran, a suit on which no judgement had ever been rendered, so it wasn't the payment of a debt but the WH conceding an old lawsuit which the last four presidents had ignored. Clearly, it was ransom, and just as Obama destroyed the international protocol for non proliferation of nuclear weapons with his sweetheart Iran nuclear deal, Obama has now broken with all past presidents on paying ransom to terrorists.
