We have the blueprint for prosperity

I wont ask for proof because you dont have any.
But if that's the case and Texas is a hell hole why are busionesses moving there in droves and out of California and Illinois with their wonderful socialist systems?

Because of low taxes and low wages.

From 1941 to the 1960's we had high taxes on the rich and high wages. The taxes were invested in education and infrastructure and the high wages created consumer demand. Now we have low taxes for the rich and low wages. What is the result? 23% of total income goes to the top 1%. 70% of our economy is consumer demand. Too much money in too few hands starves the economy of demand. Stagnation is the result.

Raise the minimum wage and tax capital gains as income.

Got it.

Yes, and Dems are all about enslaving people.
But you understand people have a choice whether to take a job or not, right? Oh wait you never had that choice, never having had a job.

Democrats want working people to earn more money. Republicans are the ones who want to destroy unions and abolish the minimum wage. Republicans hate the working man.

Texas has slavery? WHo knew??
Democrats want to mandate higher min wages so fewer people can earn more money. It's something about that 1% mentality they have. The rest of them can collect welfare and food stamps, the drivers of the Democrat economy.

More lies. It's all you can muster.
Texas is the second largest economy in the country, ahead of NY.

I know a lot of people with work ethics who are struggling. But that's okay, man.

Just remember the Republican Mantra.

"I've got mine, Fuck You!"

And then wonder why you keep losing elections.

So you know a lot of people struggling in Texas? No? Thats what I thought.
And yeah I worked my ass off for mine. Those who didn't? Fuckem not my problem.
You take care of yourself, and I'll take care of myself. Which is how it should be.

Awesome. And as long as you pay your fair share of taxes to maintain a society where you can earn that, Im all for it.

Sorry, guy, "You didn't build that" as a wise man once said.

Awesome. And as long as you cut taxes by about 30%, people like HWGA and myself will be paying our "fair share" for the first time in our lives.

And by the way, it was an ultra ignorant marxist who once said, "you didn't build that".

In addition to having the highest rate of people without health insurance in the nation, Texas also has the largest number of children without health insurance and the highest rate of poor adults without health insurance, according to 2012 American Community Survey estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau.

More than 852,000 Texas children lacked health insurance in 2012.

Texas also had the highest rate of adults making below 138 percent of the federal poverty threshold who lack insurance, at 55 percent.

In addition, Rick Perry has been literally paying companies to move to Texas, using a "deal-closing" fund and offering generous tax concessions (which is not so much policy as a suspension of). And yet:

It may be a great place to be a big oil or petrochemical company [remember that oil boom?], or a politically favored large corporation able to wring out tax concessions... But for the vast majority of businesses, which are small and not politically connected, Texas doesn’t offer any tax advantages and is in many ways a harder place to do business.

Again, Texas is fourth-to-last for percentage of the population that owns its own business. It is statistically one of the worst places in the country to try your hand at entrepreneurship.

Meanwhile, do these large companies' success mean "prosperity" for Texas? Not really. The state had huge budget issues in 2011 and made drastic cuts, including over $5 billion in cuts to education, and its school districts are still struggling. This put an even greater weight on citizens who pay for education through property taxes (remember when I pointed out that the tax burden on most Texan taxpayers is actually greater than Californian taxpayers, despite there being no income tax?).

Personally, I think prosperity is having a good business environment even if you don't have the governor's ear, and having proper funding for the school your kid goes to. But what do I know, I'm just a liberal who makes things up, right?

Yes, you are.
10 Best States for Starting a Business | Entrepreneur.com
Texas: The Lone Star State has more than 2.2 million small-businesses accounting for more than half of its private sector jobs. Also, since 2009, Texas has ramped up its STEM workforce by 34,000, primarily in the computer and IT fields.

I have posted volumes of indisputable data for prosperity - from tax rates, to energy policies, to labor laws, and more. At the same time, we have seen the liberal blueprint for poverty (basically everything put forward by Obama, Pelosi, and Reid). Well, here is yet another example of conservative policy creating prosperity even in the Obama failed economy...

Texas is getting under some people’s skin. Its population is growing. Its people are becoming more prosperous. It is creating both billionaires and employing more minimum-wage workers than any other state. Its energy sector has thrived—year-over-year drilling has doubled so far in 2014, with 10,000 new wells drilled just since January. Its technology corridor now extends for hundreds of miles along I-35.

Texas is the hottest state economy this side of North Dakota.

But some still refuse to acknowledge the Texas Miracle. The recovery benefits only the rich, they say. Pro-business means pro-big-business. Job growth has merely kept pace with population growth.

But that’s just it. People are moving to Texas, and it certainly is not for the weather. Its population has grown more than 5% just since 2010—a rate exceeded only by North Dakota, another oil-boom state, and the rapidly gentrifying District of Columbia. California, by contrast, lost congressional seats for the first time in state history after the 2010 census.

Texas goes light on regulation, charges no state income tax, reduces barriers to entry and creates a dynamic business climate. California charges high taxes, imposes significant regulations, makes it hard to start a new business and has billions of dollars in debt for pensions owed to retired public employees.

So it should come as no surprise Texas’ business climate is rated in the top 5; California’s is in the bottom 10. Texas has had four times the job growth of California over the last 20 years. Its unemployment is about 50% below California’s and its incomes are growing at a faster pace than California’s.

Texas Is Booming With New Jobs and 'Dirt Cheap' Energy

The rich states, California, New York, etc...are paying Texas' tax bill.

And the people of Texas are paying the price for conservative values with low wages and no healthcare.

Slavery means 100% employment.

Rich states? Hey knuckle head,Texas is the 14 largest economy in the world.
And I have never gone without health care and I sure as hell didnt have low wages.
You obviously dont know shit about Texas and you're only spouting dem talking points.

Stupidity means 100% unemployment, take detroit for example.
It never ceases to amaze me how liberal policies fail again and again yet you morons continue to support them.:cuckoo:

Hey dumb fuck! Seal the borders and get rid of all the illegals and those problems disappear. You can blame the fed for not doing their job.
Thanks for admitting to your own parties ineptitude.

And you can thank your buddy obammy for releasing 30,000 criminal illegals in to our society.

It's complete denial. Next they'll be posting stats about how Texans don't have as many cats as New York or something. They have to find something--anything--to discredit the idea that lower taxes and fewer regulations actually encourage job creation.

Actually it's a good thing, and I hope they can convince themselves and their liberal buddies to stay away from this hell hole. Everybody is poor,we're all on our death beds for lack of healthcare...oooooh the misery!!!

So we've addressed taxes and energy. How about education now...

Why drop $60,000 per year to attend liberal cesspools where they hire domestic terrorists (Bill Ayers - University of Chicago) or communists who preach a plan to collapse America (Cloward & Frances Piven - Columbia University) and "teach" nothing but depraved promiscuity (proof HERE) all so you can graduate with $240,000 in debt when you can get an actual education for free?

Looking for the biggest bargain in higher education? I think I found it in this rural Missouri town, 40 miles south of Springfield, nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. The school is College of the Ozarks, and it operates on an education model that could overturn the perverse method of financing college education that is turning this generation of young adults into a permanent debtor class.

At this college, the tuition is nowhere near the $150,000 to $200,000 for a four-year degree that the elite top-tier universities are charging. At College of the Ozarks, tuition is free. That’s right. The school’s nearly 1,400 students don’t pay a dime in tuition during their time there.

So what’s the catch? All the college’s students—without exception—pay for their education by working 15 hours a week on campus. The jobs are plentiful because this school—just a few miles from Branson, a popular tourist destination—operates its own mill, a power plant, fire station, four-star restaurant and lodge, museum and dairy farm.

This College Takes Hard Work Seriously -- And Kids Want to Go There

I donate money to the College of the Ozarks periodically. Not much--just to show some support for their ag programs and their efforts to honor veterans. Based on what I get in the mail from them, they must have some very deep pockets, but they seem very conservative.

Poodle, you probably work as a bagger at the Jewel.

Not to worry, we'll all make sure you get your minimum wage increase.

(Psst. Real rich people don't go on message boards telling people they're rich.)

Now for taxing REAL rich people.

Um, when we taxed them at 70%, you know, before that fuck-up Reagan, we had balanced budgets, we had steady growth.

Again, Texas is fourth-to-last for percentage of the population that owns its own business. It is statistically one of the worst places in the country to try your hand at entrepreneurship.

A bit confused, are we? In terms of population, Texas is the second largest state in the entire nation. So of course, by percentage, entrepreneurship is going to be low.

The fact that you need that explained to you is...:lmao:

Psst...where did I say I was "rich"? Please cite the post number or you prove once again that you are a liar. I've never given any indication of my wealth one way or another except to say that I am gainfully employed.

Second, there was a deficit before Reagan. You just proved again that you are a liar.

Finally, I've already proven time and time again that everyone except for the poor pays more than their "fair share" and that to get us to pay our "fair share", you would need to drastically cut taxes junior. Straight from the Congressional Budget Office: the top 1% in America earns 13% of the wealth but pays 22.3% of all taxes. Oops... Game over junior.

I find it fall-down hilarious that Joseph continues to parrot the liberal lie about taxes that George Soros trained him to parrot (probably using actual crackers too ) when I've posted the tax numbers straight from the Congressional Budget Office. His greed for more government handouts and envy over those who have done better prevents him from admitting the truth...
