What are some of your favorite songs by Stevie Wonder?

My favorites are - 1) Superstition 2) Living for the City 3) Love's In Need of Love Today 4) I Wish, and 5) Sir Duke

That is a very hard question for me to answer. I love Stevie Wonder and his music.

I love all the songs you listed.

Here's something about Living For The City, the full version was never played on the radio when it was released in the 70s. It was over 7 minutes long and the end wasn't pretty. He also used the F word. "The fucking cruddy city" was the line. That couldn't and still can't be played on the radio. The "N" word is also used in a very derogatory way.

That song makes me cry. Things for black people have gotten worse since he wrote that song.

Listen to the words of the last verse. It's more true today than it was when Mr. Wonder first wrote the words.

I went to the coast last week with a friend. On the way back I played the Songs In The Key of Life album. We both sang along with the songs and couldn't believe the album was over 40 years old now.

His daughter, Aisha, the subject of the song Isn't She Lovely, escorts him on and off stage. She is also a backup singer and sings a few songs herself in his set.

She is drop dead gorgeous and can sing. WOW can she sing. What a voice. I hope she continues to sing with her own career.

I had the honor to work with Mr. Wonder and his daughter once. I saw him perform but didn't work with him one time before that.

He puts on a fantastic show and is one of the greatest musicians/singers/song writers of my lifetime.

Next person who tries to derail this thread that was in the Music Forum...well let's just say it won't go well for them.
Thanks. Some people are being real assholes today. On this thread, and on my other recent music ones. What the fuck, people? If you have no interest in contributing something of substance or intelligence, then STAY THE FUCK OFF OF THE THREAD. I absolutely DETEST trolls.
