What are your thoughts on the NRA?

The Constitution and Bill of Rights only work when the government is forced to obey them.......moron.......all it takes is the will to kill by the government and your safeguards on paper mean nothing........that is why the First and Second Amendments are so important....and why the left hates them...
And you think our government wants to kill us. That's crazy.

Today....no.....50 years....you think it can't happen? Did the Germans in 1930s Germany see the death camps in their future...or how about the Japanese Americans in the 1920s....did they see the democrats putting them into internment camps...how many voted for that democrat President who put them and other German and Italian American citizens into internment camps.....?

You really need to do a little research before you start spouting off about Democrats being responsible for the Japanese internment camps. There is plenty of documented proof to show that atrocity was shared equally across all political leanings. That being said, You really think your little pea shooter would be a deterrent to the best equipped military in the world, assuming your entire ridiculous scenario of armed revolution was even possible?

It was two Progressive Democrat Presidents that put American Citizens into internment camps.
What Progressive Republican President did it?

The entire country voted to put him into office. The only opposing states he didn't carry were northern liberal states. It was a disgusting action, but he was supported at the time by all political parties. We learn by our mistakes, and that one was shared by the entire country.

Taft and Roosevelt split the Republican vote, and Wilson won the election with a little less than 42 percent of the vote.

FDR won because his 1st election people wer sick of Republican rule, President Hoover was trying to get them out of the depression but his plans were very weak. FDR promised a 'New Deal'. No one knew exactly what it was but it brought them hope.
Sound familiar?
Obama's Hope and Change, no one knew exactly what it was but it brought them hope.
We keep doing the same things over and over and nothing really changes.

Of course it is against the law

The NRA doesn't care about what tools are available to you to break the law.

Now, suppose you want to shoot up a classroom full of first graders. Everyone knows it is against the law. The guy doing it will probably kill himself anyway so the law does not matter to him

So, whats the best weapon to use for slaughtering first graders? You wouldn't want a single shot muzzle loader...too inefficient
The best weapon for slaughtering first graders is one of those semi-automatic (you can alter it to go full auto) assault rifles (gotta look cool while you mow down first graders) with a 35-50 round magazine

Thank the NRA that you can still go to your local gun shop and buy one

It is the murderous act of killing the children that is wrong, not buying the firearm, Mr Silly.

Why should I be punished by restrictions to my freedoms when other people chose to do illegal things?

There are millions of AR 15s in the hands of American citizens that do not use them for any crime. In fact in relative terms they are very seldom used in crime. They are not the weapon of choice for the great majority of criminals.

Why should I lose my right to own an AR-15 for legal uses because some deranged shithead decides to use it in a crime? Where is the justice in that?

The greatest mass murder in American history was perpetrated using airplanes. Should we ban airplanes because some people used them for a crime?

The NRA protects my right of freedom and you despicable Libtards want to take those freedoms away.

You should be able to have an AR-15. You really need to legally use an AR-15 in your daily life I'm sure.

An AR-15 is the weapon of choice for those wanting to conduct a mass murder

Face it.....when you slaughter movie goers or small children, an AR-15 makes you look like a badass while you are doing it. When you go out in a blaze of glory, you might as well have the right weapon

Thank the NRA

The NRA has done its part to ensure a steady supply of the weapons of choice for mass murderers

No....illegal guns are easy to get around the world....the NRA makes sure that honest, law abiding, good people have guns to stop mass shooters......

Well....one......And a bullet for each crew member when they are at the local bar.......so again.....if our government ever turned on our people, it would not be an easy thing if our people are armed....that is why you anti gun nuts are so short sighted.....you live today, fat and happy and safe behind our Constitutional Protections and he Bill Of Rights...but you want to take away the best safe guard to those rights....firearms in the hands of citizens.....

No you idiot. Our system of government is the best safe guard to our rights. Playing cowboys and Indians like you want to do is jut childish. Silly bravado doesn't work in real life like it does in the movies.

Yes....88 million gun owners are more than several million military personel.......

Apparently you don't learn...especially if you want to disarm U.S. citizens......

FDR's "New Hope" was just about as big a failure as Obama's "Hope and Change" for almost the same reason - government interference in the free market.

History is full of examples where a lesser armed rebellion defeated a better armed government.

However, very few examples of a no armed rebellion defeating a significantly armed government. Even Gandhi in India was a strong proponent of the right to keep and bear arms.

I think the Moon Bats want to disarm America for two reasons:

1. They are naive and stupid and they think Americans would be safer with more stringent firearm laws.

2. They don't like the idea of the citizens of this country being able to challenge the government because the love the tyranny of the government. At least they do when the Libtards have power, like Obama being in the White House. They usually think different when the Conservatives hold the offices.

There is a third possibility that that they are simply morons that have no appreciation for the Constitution or the concept of freedom. The fact that most people that oppose the right to keep and bear arms also voted for Obama lends a lot of credibility to that theory.

What are your thoughts on the NRA?

The NRA was once a fine outfit. I was a member for 20 some years - until it started turning to shit in 1977. I didn't renew my membership.

In gun lore it’s known as the Revolt at Cincinnati. On May 21, 1977, and into the morning of May 22, a rump caucus of gun rights radicals took over the annual meeting of the National Rifle Association.

No bother addressing the things you listed, because they are just nuts. You forgot the other reason though, which should be #1 You're an idiot who believes all the crazy shit fox tells you.

Hate to inform you but that was about 75 years ago. You people sure have to go back a long ways to come up with something to post about. At least democrat presidents were progressive and did something for the average guy. Something republican politicians don't seem to ever do.

Still can't figure why republicans are worried about the 2nd Amendment. Obama's been destroying the country for six years now and neither tea baggers nor conservatives have taken up arms against Obama's illegal, unpatriotic actions. They just bitch about him on the internet.

I generally support the NRA, and I think the NRA does a lot of good work.
But, I don't quite follow their objection to background checks. The NRA used to support background checks. As long as the background checks do not take an unreasonable amount of time, I don't see how they violate the 2nd Amendment.
The NRA still supports current background checks and works to make them better.
It opposes universal background checks because the only way they can be enforces is through universal registration.

And the bullet ban was based on the ability to use them in hand guns. A definition that has been used for decades, but only became pertinent when pistols that can use that particular shell were recently put on the market.
^^^
A lie
Handguns chambered for .223/5.56 were commercially available -before- the ATF granted an exemption for the SS109 round.

Ok, I read the links on background checks and universal registration. Yes, the Democrats have repeatedly tried to attach gun registration provisions to background check bills and have openly said that in their view background checks must include universal registration.

Given this fact, I understand the opposition to universal background checks. There is no reason to link universal background checks to gun registration. Background checks should be done on the person to determine if they have a criminal record or a record of mental health issues, not on what guns they own. The media never explain that Republicans oppose universal background checks because Democrats insist on trying to attach gun registration provisions to universal background check legislation.

more American than most 'carabiner' , NRA is a good organization for messing with the regime and dems in general , same for GOA .

Some do want to register all guns. That is not the majority, and stands extremely little or no chance of happening. Are you trying to say that part couldn't be worked out? I think it could. The majority of the country......including NRA members thinks it could.

no we don't Bulldog , we don't trust the dems or mrobama , most NRA members are conservative when it comes to guns and that includes dems and repubs . TRUST , [ off topic example] he11 , look at how mrobama treats a USA ally like Israel as he tries to influence Israeli elections with taxpayer money and that money and influence is against the law . TRUST [off topic example] but look how Hilary takes money from foreign sources .

'EXTREMELY' little chance of happening and then it happens and the gun controllers laugh at the gun owners !!

That is not the majority of... what?
People? Democrats? Those pushing universal background checks?
Are you trying to say that part couldn't be worked out?
Registration?
How do you expect the NRA, et al to compromise on universal registration?
