Many believe all you need to do is have faith in Christ and believe in him. Not so. Mark 16:16 says one more thing is necessary to be saved. Baptism! Jesus himself said that no man can enter into the kingdom of God except he be baptized by water and by the spirit (given the holy ghost). Care to disagree?

I'm not going to disagree with you. I fully agree with you.

I'll reference the old Bible story of the criminal who was saved on Calvary Hill next to Jesus. No Baptism involved.

never said by jesus ...

c-bear proves they are a crucifier. that's why they took his life, jesus taught liberation theology, self determination and repudiated judaism's false commandments, hereditary idolatry religion of apartheid.

the desert dwellers choose servitude and denial, all three desert religions the opposite of the heavenly goal granted a&e and all living beings for them to accomplish for their judgement and admission to the everlasting.

- from that time, no where is found the christian bible.

I'll reference the old Bible story how Jesus went and preached to the spirits that are dead (see 1 Peter 3-4). I will also reference the old Bible and how it brings up baptism for the dead as Paul argues for the resurrection (see 1 Corinthians 15). I would argue that paradise is not salvation into the kingdom of heaven but a place among the spirits who are dead who receive the teachings of Jesus. Jesus told the man on the cross that he would be with him that very day in paradise. Upon Jesus' death and before his resurrection he went among the spirit of the dead preached his gospel. It was not until the 3rd day that Jesus was resurrected and it was then that he told Mary to not touch him because he had not yet ascended to his Father in heaven. Thus the man on the cross could not have been in heaven with Christ on that very day since Christ had not ascended until after the 3rd day. He was with Jesus among the spirits of the dead. Those among the dead who accept the gospel are in spirit paradise while those who have not accepted the gospel among the spirits who are dead are in spirit prison.

In the true church of Jesus Christ, the doctrine of baptism for the dead is a true principle and the living can perform vicarious baptisms for the dead. Thus all can receive baptism even if they are dead. So yes, baptism is required to enter the kingdom of heaven but is still available by proxy even for those who are dead. During the Millennium, this will be one of the great works performed on this earth to bring all the opportunity to enter the kingdom of heaven.

So what you are saying is the story of the criminal on the cross being saved is a falsehood. Do I understand you correctly?

What I am saying is that he began to believe in Christ on the cross and to accept Jesus as his Savior. Thus upon their deaths, because he accepted Jesus he was not to be found in spirit prison but in spirit paradise because he did what we all must do as a first step in being saved, ie accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Are you sure? 1Cor. 15:29. He will receive his baptism vicariously and probably already did as the people back then did so. We do it today and he will receive his baptism and receive the Holy Ghost. Jesus said no one can enter the kingdom of God without baptism. Jesus went to preach to the dead as well. You will find this in First Peter.

Spirit prison? Spirit paradise? What is that? I studied a lot of the Bible when I was young and never heard these terms.

"receive his Baptism vicariously"??? Oh come on now.

Why would Jesus need to go and preach to the dead spirits if baptism wasn’t necessary. The law was set by him when he said the only way into the kingdom is by baptism by water. So, the solution is baptism for the dead vicariously as 1Cor. 15:29. Why fight it? What a blessing.

No, Jesus said no one can enter the kingdom of God, except thru Him.

To be saved, we only need to admit to Him our sins, ask for forgiveness, repent of those sins and accept Him as our Lord and Savior.........baptism comes after that, as our sign to Him of acceptance.

Since baptism wasn't even a part of belief in God, until John The Baptist........there are millions that lived before that never were baptized and yet fully acceptable to God

1 Peter 3:18-20
18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

1 Peter 4:6
6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
