What its like after police ransack your house & take ‘every belonging’then the charges are dropped

No one is innocent thats hardly an excuse for anything

Exactly. Someone in law enforcement screwed up the investigation so they got damn lucky not to lose their children and spend years in jail.
Unfortunately they should receive compensation for their losses, but none of this in any way diffuses the fact they are drug dealers, and dealt drugs out of their home...where children live.

Curious why you keep saying that last part

Umm......because dealing drugs in a home CHILDREN live in is fucking stupid. Drugs attract criminals with guns and they often get robbed and shot at.

Did you even notice that no one sold drugs out of any home where children ever were? Or was that too juicy a rumor to nibble so you went with it even tho its not true?

They should get their stuff back because that's what would be legal.

But....to sell drugs out of the home your kids live in and then demand sympathy? Sorry. None here. How dumb.

You two keep saying this like anything that happens to them is ok because they had weed. You're not slick. Just excuse makers
no, what they are saying is the couple was doing an illegal act. Period. The fact the charges were dropped merely means they are fucking lucky as all fk. They ought to go buy a lottery ticket and play it. That type of thingy is not always coming to those actually doing illegal thingies. That's all they are saying. Not sure what it is you're actually trying to say though? The sherrifs merely did their job. What is it you think should have happened?

This is about Civil Forfeiture not your drug dealing with kids in the house fantasies

but dude, the civil forfeiture was due to the illegal drug dealing with kids in the house. What is it you don't get?

the fact that the judge ruled in their favor for a mistake by the rep of the town, is besides the case.

Read the WHOLE article. Not just what CC copied.

The Michigan law does not allow what they were doing. However...a local town government MESSED UP and told them they could. The sheriffs (not the town) busted them on a tip that weed is being sold there (again...illegal).

Judge dropped it because the town fucked up. Not the police. Not enough "criminal intent" to stick.

Sheriff should've politely sent Andy Griffith with Aunt Bees blueberry cobbler and told them to knock it off.....especially since selling drugs out of your home with KIDS INSIDE is fucking stupid because once word is out gangs WILL show up with guns one day to rob you (cue snarky lib saying that's exactly what cops did) and probably kill everyone inside.

So......we're they dealing drugs???

Yes, and then the cops dropped the charges in this wacky universe you created. Thats what happened:rolleyes:

Ok. So they WERE in fact dealing drugs in the home their kids live in.

Second....the COPS didn't drop charges. A circuit judge did. That's what your post says.

Judicial Branch vs Executive Branch. Learn about it.
Cops don't press charges. IF you'd been a real cop, you'd know that.

Hey tuna breath....where did I say cops DID press charges??? I said they "didn't drop" them...because yes...they don't press or drop. I'm always a step ahead of you bulldyke.
Awww....sorry if I prove you wrong again and intimidate you so.

In this country we are innocent until proven guilty. Civil asset forfeiture punishes for guilt until you are proven innocent and even then many people don't get retribution.

What is it you don't get?

Look they were so desperate that they even accused the lady of doing something she never did and held on to that point as if it had anything to do with Civil Asset Forfeiture. Now after they cant claim this lady "Sold drugs with their kids in the house" they have no more excuses

The charges were dropped because "a government official led the family into believing their conduct was permissible". So their behavior was criminal but they thought it wasn't. How does that work? Anyway, who ya gonna call when your house is ransacked and burglars take all your belongings? Chances are you won't call a slick lawyer, you will call the police.

Great point

Yup. The cops are out of control and they aren't just targeting poor black people anymore. You dumbasses have regulated yourselves into a police state, and the militarized police and the courts have ALL the power. Enjoy it.

This happened to a friend of mine. Cops busted in while she was at her schoolteacher job, ransacked the place, broke the door. Turned out they had the wrong address. Left her with a busted door she had to fix too.

Cannabis is not a "drug". It's a plant.

Who dumbasses? Who dealt this mess? I sure didn't order it.

Property Seized, Money Taken – But No Crime
Video Report: How police confiscate property and freeze bank accounts without ever making an arrest

Wladyslaw “Wally” Kowalski is a Ph.D. design engineer who lives in Van Buren County. In September, Kowalski came home to find his residence surrounded by police armed with a warrant. Officers searched the home and then hauled away his power generator and many expensive tools. They also froze his bank accounts, leaving Kowalski unable to pay his bills, student loan installments and taxes.

Former state police lieutenant accused of corruption marries key prosecution witness ahead of trial

There is a bizarre new twist in the case of a former Michigan State Police lieutenant accused of turning a drug task force into a criminal enterprise. The 7 Action News Investigators have learned that Luke Davis has married a key prosecution witness.
Luke Davis, Sergeant Emmanuel Riopelle and a civilian Lawrence Dusseau were charged with turning the police drug forfeiture unit into a criminal enterprise. They allegedly stole property seized in drug raids, kept some of it for themselves and sold some for cash: everything from cars and boats to designer purses and big screen TV's.

When it was only happening to Black people, Whites said, "impossible."

Since you are so die-hard about "innocent until proven guilty" I expect an apology to all the cops you demonized who weren't proven guilty.....and I don't expect you to ever do it again until after they're found guilty.
