[Isn't it amazing the significance a movie can have for protesters? I don't even remember the name of the movie—but certainly the mask]

Another very interesting, detailed analysis of the events going on in that country from BBC @ BBC News - What lies behind the protests in Venezuela? Well worth the time to read.

V for Vendetta. It sucked.

The reason for the protests is simple -- socialism, aka; dimocrap ism. It doesn't work. never has, never will.

Unlike our resident dimocrap scum, Chavez and Maduro took power away from Urban dwellers and distributed it to Rural peasants by a sort of gerrymandering.

A representative District in Caracas (With One Representative, like one of our Congressional Districts) might have as many as 300,000 people in it.

While a representative district in the rural areas might only have 10,000 people in it -- Total.

They do this so the socialist scum can be over-represented and they can run roughshod over the wishes of the better educated, more Spanish blood people in the Urban areas.

The people in the Rural Areas are mostly Indian, or at the best 90% - 95% Indian. Mestizos. Which just about everybody south of the Rio Grande is anyway. To some extent or another.

Since the Rural people started with shit, I mean honest to God shit, they don't care about the economy in general going to hell. All they care about is the hand full of free beans they get every Month. And the few pennies they get that's stolen frome the people in the Cities who actually produce something.

They fucked up. Big time. It was the Urban people, the very people that are protesting and dying right now, that empowered and voted in Chavez in the first place.

Now they gotta pay.

They thought they were cute, smart, so awfully progressive and haute culture.....

Now, they gonna pay.

Just like our very own dimocrap scum if they ever get what they want.

If this were the first time Venezuela had this problem I might agree with you, but Venezuela has a history of social unrest, no matter who is in control.

For once, I actually agree with you.

Most of Latin American has been having severe problems ever since Spain, Portugal, and other European countries were forced to give up their hegemony over them.

LOL! As one who has followed this event with great interest, I wasn’t asking you. I was telling you.

Both you and longknife are just wrong. It's not a mystery, but a well-documented fact. It's a matter that's subject to empirical verification.

The opposition party which mostly represents the middleclass is leading the uprising against the Marxist thugs who destroyed the economy.

Your ignorance concerning the nature of this recent bout of civil unrest in Venezuela, including the motive and the players thereof, is of no import.

It’s not what it is . . . because it’s another instance of unrest in a long train of unrest?!

Yeah. That’s makes sense.

Change your handle to Moonbat and stop wasting the time of grownups.

You’re dismissed.

Excellently stated. The funny thing about the awful, horrible, monstrous colonialism, countries like Spain and England defeated and then civilized barren lands of people without laws, then upon being forced to retreat, the uncivilized returned to what they know, violence, corruption and unrest.

But hey, now they're free of unjust rule! :clap2:
