What was the biggest advancements in technology @ science of the 21st century? I think bio-printing and the advancement of gene therapy(I know it was used earlier) for science. Bio-printing is making it ever more possible to print organs like Kidney's, livers, etc. Some exciting stuff. ;)

Some other area's

Mapping of the human genome

Advances of understanding of aging and cancer, etc

Gaining a understanding of how many planets could be within our galaxy. We know understand quite a bit about our local neighborhood!

Technology...

and The engine on the Skylon for Technology is my choice for biggest advancement!
-Electric paper
-Voice command
-Tablet computers.
-Smart phones with more power then a computer in 2002. I'm not talking about the couple mb things we had in the 1990's. ;)
-Grasshopper by space-x the second biggest space advancement of the past 40 years. First was the Skylon air breathing engine being proven to work.
-I'd say the fact that they're developing paint that can conduct electricy is pretty big.
-Solar windows
-Driverless cars
-Robotic lawn mores, window washers, vacuums, etc. Let's not go into the PET or BIG DOG robots...Let a lone some of the good stuff in japan.

I few big advancements of the 21st century so far.
