Who said it was MY "sacred FDA", you brayinng jackass? I didn't. It's been LONG ESTABLISHED that the FDA has been the bitch of many big pharma companies for some time...Merck being a prime example!

I am so sick and tired of political conservatives knee-jerk defense of corporations that do evil against society. Case in point: Merck pharmaceuticals SHOULD NOT EXIST as it was proven in court that they knowingly marketed a product that could kill people (which it did). Instead, a few personnel shuffles, some money paid out, and Merck is STILL in business.....defenders saying that shutting them down would hurt thousands of employees, etc., etc.

Well, who said that there are not people who could easily replace the entire Merck leadership, board of directors and such? And if the "logic" is that they've learned their lesson and will never do it again, then why not release THOUSANDS OF PRISONERS doing time for 1 murder? After all, they've learned their lesson, paid their debt and promise to never do it again, right?

God indeed bless America, because we need all the help we can get!

Evil corporations? Where would you have people work and have gainful employment? Perhaps if everyone just quit their jobs and became bakers and basket weavers in some communal community your utopian dreams might be realized.

America did all right before corporations controlled government. Without corporate consolidation of the last thirty years there would be a whole lot more better paying heavy-industry jobs than there are now. That is the corporate jobs reality. Which does not include that most Americans work for small businesses, many of them not even incorporated. Here is a link that can clear away some of the misinformation.
