What's the difference between Communism and Obama Democrats??

Today's democrats, being utopians, not really communists, believe in a society in which the government can make everything absolutely fair to everyone and equality is total. This necessarily involves the ultimate in tyranny, exactly as the ancient utopian philosophers said it would. Communism permits much more freedom than the model the American government is moving towards. Utopia is the fair distribution of everything no matter what it is.

The words communism and socialism are not meant to be defined, their purpose is to put fear into the American people. The Republicans have been using these fear words since the Thirties when the battle over Social Security began. Since that time they have been used very effectively, by naming every Democratic president as a socialist and/or communist, and most of their programs socialist, bordering on communism.
The antidote is research, what do those words mean, and what is their application to America. Will Social Security really turn America into a communist nation? Was Truman really a socialist? Truman, the man, that when a corporation offered him a post-presidency job at a great salary, said, You don't want me. You want the office of the president and that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it's not for sale."
One puzzle, why haven't the words fascist and Nazi ever gained the popularity or use as the other two words? As scare words they are pretty much a fizzle.

yup....it's one big word game....

"Totalitarianism" vs. "Constitutional Republic" seem to be words that are too hard to use...

Take Obamacare.

It is based on Bob Dole's health care plan, first created by the arch conservative think tank (Heritage).

It leaves the private insurance market in place, but it mandates that individuals pay into that system, so that they stop receiving free care and places like the emergency room.

Under communism, the private insurance market would be destroyed. Under Bob Dole and Barack Obama, that private insurance market gets bigger and stronger by virtue of getting more customers.

Obama supports regulated markets and a system of private property. Under Obama the private sector has seen massive portfolio growth. Under Obama, Wall Street has reached highs that are above the Bush years. Corporations are sitting on unprecedented levels of cash. Under communism, this would not happen.

You've been lied to. Corporations did far far better under Bill Clinton and they did under Bush 43.

You obviously don't get it. The Democrat Party platform and the Communist Party platform are virtually identical. That's why the Communists are suing. Of course, is purely a propaganda ploy, but it highlights an essential fact: both parties have the exact same goals.

That sounds like simplistic and partisan name calling. Even on innocuous points where there may be coincidences, the same coincidences can be found between Republicans and Nazis - ie their love of the military. The basic communist premise is the ownership by government of all industry. The leaders of the Democratic Party are mostly millionaire owners of private assets. Can you show where Democratic leaders want to have their private US industry nationalized?

It was obvious in the film clip that Waters was upset and looking for words to hit back with. An angry senator bashing heads with an angry petroleum CEO doesn't mean that the Democratic leadership (plural) wants all industry nationalized. I understand your using this example as a debating point and it does score a point, but that is a long way from establishing that the Democratic Party as a whole is communist. All you showed is a little bit of political theatre. A CEO threatening that prices will increase unless he gets to drill in prohibited areas sounds awfully close to threatening law makers, something that a little legal research could show is illegal if established as fact. The reason you won't see a prosecution over such threats is the same reason why Waters' speech doesn't mean all Democratic leaders are communists - people in debate get pissed off and say things that are borderline or completely stupid. Later on when they are calmer they kick their own asses and say to themselves, 'Jeez, why did I say that?'
