The guy emptied a magazine then reloaded, no one could try to take him down while reloading?

Can anyone explain how this could happen?

Security patted down patrons as they entered. At 2am no one was entering. Everyone was leaving so there was no security looking at someone coming into the club. The seize went on for three hours during which time police hostage negotiators were trying to deescalate, giving the terrorist plenty of time to kill others. Obviously not enough correct? I haven't read the stats on the club but if it can legally hold 300 the square footage has to be up there. And a couple of off duty cops dealing with a terror attack are not going to cut the mustard here.

That's two. Not adequate. Again if you are going to have a gun free zone then the establishment in this day and age should provide proper security, well trained and well armed to protect their patrons.

Now I'm not blaming Pulse here. But we've been bloody lucky up till now that we have not had any terrorist situation like what happened in Paris at Bataclan just a few months ago.

And we've been living in la la land to believe "it won't happen here". I hope this tragedy will be a wake up call.

Heard an interview earlier that the bouncers ran like cowards. One cowardly gay ran out the back door and then blocked it fearing the shooter was coming for him but instead kept his butthole surfer buddies from escaping too which would eventually end their pulses at Club Pulse.

It was after last call, My guess is that security was already done for the night. Also, the club has a no gun policy that obviously a person intent on killing people isn't going to pay attention to. I would guess that from this point on security will remain until the last patron has left, and perhaps their no gun policy will be gone as well.

As for charging a guy who is armed with an AR15, even when he's reloading, let's be realistic, 99.9% of Americans aren't going to be able to do that, especially after they just saw however many people killed right before their eyes.
