Which Democrat policies can you easily identify as something good for America and the citizenry as a whole?

I’ve presented this question to a few Democrats who work for me and I wasn’t at all surprised by their answers. Anyway, I thought this would be a good place to look for opinions…Let’s hear it.

henry ford started the 40 hour work week at his ford plants in 1926.....airports came about with the advent of the airplane,not a particular party and the highway system came about with pres. Eisenhower and the cleaner air came with the EPA and pres Nixon....

Congress wrote and passed the 40hr work week, overtime, a minimum wage....you're right that Henry Ford might have inspired it.....Nixon through an E/O initially invented the EPA, but Congress codified the agency in to permanent law and appropriating it....

You are correct on highways with Eisenhower and Coolidge on Airports too, but it did take congress to pass the laws and continued funding, and security.

But if you want to believe the liberals (democrats) have never in our history done anything good for the American people like the op, have at it Harry!

You can then deport undesirable immigrants and asylum seekers once their cases have been adjudicated, instead of having them hang around waiting for asylum hearings for the rest of their lives.

The discussion was about what Democratic policy was good for the American people. Immigration was not one of them.

I'd have thought MAGAts would have leapt at the idea of quick process for unwanted, ineligible immigrants and been prepared to fund quick and lawful action there.

But I was just naive. What MAGAts want is to disobey the supreme law of the land because they don't think it should apply to them.

See, Care4all what you’re doing is pretending today’s Democrat Party is the same Democrat Party it once was…which couldn’t be further from the truth. The question posed in the title of the OP is clearly worded in such a way that queries current Democrat policies but you knew you couldn’t answer such a query so you point us back in time. Why couldn’t you have just said…”We have no policies to speak of that are aimed to benefit the nation and the citizenry as a whole.”

up until about 1997 or so i was a democrat....but last century when all this stuff was done the democrats were much different....last century they would have never lost to hitler...

There’s an important distinction to make, one that you pretend doesn’t exist. Like you, the Crypt Keeper saw “refugees” as an electoral strategy while Trump sees “refugees” as alien enemies and a threat to the homeland…..Remember, you lost a very consequential election due to your twisted positions on “refugees”.

If it sucks where you live, you should have moved. If it simply sucked where you live, due to unforeseen circumstance, you should have considered moving after it was over, instead of whining so much about the last time in really sucked, while continuing to pay your taxes to support the same values in government, and live there. If you continue to do the same things in the same place with the same type local/state government, you set yourself up for the same results. If you like the results, fine. If not, then doing the same, but expecting different results, in not insanity, most of the time, simply stupidity. But, I am sure, being able to whine about your situation, makes it all worthwhile for you.

I consider the Democrat agenda nearly complete after Nixon signed off on OSHA, EPA, and the Endangered Species Act. The only thing I see left undone is a sensible national health care act that unburdens our businesses from being caretakers of their employees' medical needs.

The shame of it all is that when it comes time to keep Republicans in-line by giving them the boot, the Democrats take their victory as a mandate for some wacky shit.
