Americans Are Having Fewer Babies. They Told Us Why.

Seems like it's hip these days to abstain from being human, and it's posh to ride the American repopulation ship below the waves; port out, extinction home. Point blank: do we blame it on the cultural revolution and women choosing career or life adventure over motherhood? Are men equally responsible for their modern willingness to reject the responsibility of fatherhood for something less complicated? Have we finally philosophized our way into species mass grave?

Does 'having a choice' as the article mentions speak to easy availability of family planning? Will America fade away into the night of one last old age, smartphones on drive mode, or will enough of us take the leap from surfing on-the-line to drowning in dirty diapers, thereby skin of teeth replenishing the suburban game preserve?

What does a decrease in immigration and immigrants reproducing say about our own decline in willingness to get it on for a soon to be walking talking spitting image?

Do we need people to be having babies? People want to enjoy their life, we can do this AND the population of the world keeps increasing.

Good point.

I'm not personally arguing for reproduction or against it. I found the article interesting, and the dynamic these days of doing 'other things' instead of having a family is interesting, if not kind of tragicomic--in a grand scheme of things sort of way. Indeed the world is ever changing, moving forward and less familiar than last generation.

Your point then is let the new generation do their thing?

The world yes but America no.

The potency of male sperm has dropped fifty percent since the late 1950's.......water fluoridation, GMO foods (that are proven to cause cancer and sterility in mice). Pesticides, insecticides, vaccines. Syngenta's product Atrazine (that is sprayed on 50 percent of all corn crops causes gender confusion and deformed genitalia in amphibians. Dr. Tyrone Hayes, a FB friend of mine did the study and they tried to bully him into shutting up about it. Birth control for the women, screwed up menstrual cycles for those that use diaphragms but all of the sudden want to get pregnant. Economic reasons which is why 97 percent of all abortions are performed because having a child at that time is not a convenient time.

Of course the third world shitholers never got the memo about birth control or abstaining, don't believe in vaccines, don't have access to fluoridated water and GMO foods so they have been chosen to fill the void created by those here that do not have children ...of course they are disease ridden but their women are fertile and the invasion doesn't require a gun...they simply aim the uteruses of their women at us. It's not a eloquent picture I painted but it is the truth.

Well, yes, let people live their lives. If we need more babies then let this happen. But we simply don't.

Less babies is a balancing act of too many babies in other countries.

Less babies is a balancing act of too many babies in other countries.

Which translates to less white babies and far more black and brown babies. It’s all by design in order to eradicate whites.

No, it means that white people have reached a point where they want to enjoy life and have less babies.

Black people are often poorer.

Think about it. If you want to preserve white people, follow Trump, he'll make you poorer, then you can breed more.

But still doesn't make sense why Christianity, the white man's religion, thinks sex is bad.

Maybe it has become too much of a “hassle” to raise kids? The population decline is a problem in other Western countries too.

In USA, there may be another explanation: it costs too much! With the increasing separation between rich & poor, only the rich can afford nannies & providing BMWs to their kids.
The poorer families rather spend their low incomes on vacations and nice cars for themselves rather than kids.

Its those traditional parents from immigrant families who have family-oriented values and low expectations for material goods advertised everywhere by big businesses.

Barrypuppet and Bill "drop trou" meant prospserity for all? Do tell?far

Trump is doing fine thus far.....still a ways to go but so good so far.The Hildebeast would have been the final straw on the camel's back and piles of dead bodies would have been added to the Clinton body count because the witch is very vindictive as we know.

It is mostly due to the demographic collapse of our cultural elites, the Episcopalians and their 'Seven Sisters', the Methodists, Northern Baptists, Presbyterians, Congregationalists, etc.

They no longer view sex as primarily for making babies, they see it as just another form of entertainment, and with the PC, there are other means of entertainment, sexual and otherwise.

How about the fact that healthcare cost an an arm and a leg. College loans plus interest to pay. Wages are stagnant. I mean the list goes on.

And there is nothing wrong with no wanting kids. There are people around the world who have children just because it’s whar society expects, yet they are unhappy and their grow up with issues because the resent them.

I’m glad people are actually thinking twice before having kids. It’s a huge responsibility and people should be 100% sure before having them.

The financial issues raised are a serious factor.

THe primary one is the years spent in education.

The fact that a college degree is considered required BEFORE you can start your life, flushes a significant (all?) of the years of peak fertility down the toilet.

Especially when combined with student debt and wanting to get a career started BEFORE, starting the family.
