To stop guys like these BEFORE they commit a home invasion, vandalism or burgulary of a resident's of the neighborhood's home.

One charged in Palatine home invasion, second suspect at-large - DailyHerald.com

Cops can only be in so many places. Police are most reactionary. They usually respond to calls for help, they are rarely at the right place at the right time to see and prevent the crime from happening or stop one in progress.

A good neighborhood watch, patrols the neighborhood and discovers suspicious individuals and helps prevent home invasions, vandalism and burgularies before they happen!

The ones guilty of spying are those in the Obama administration. And I don't think it's for our safety.

Neighborhood watches are a good thing. It's people looking out for each other and it's especially important in higher crime areas. If the liberals had their way, we wouldn't have guns or neighborhood watchers. We'd end up being statistics because police won't arrive till after the murders.

They are no longer used to watch out for potential crime, but to spy on your neighbors.

With all due respect--you live in Australia. How do you know how they are used in my home town of Austin, Texas ?

Probably the same way. People join not because they care about crime, but because it gives them an excuse to see what the person next door is up to.
