The flu has killed over 10,000 people so far in the United States this year and kills hundreds of thousands every year worldwide. Ebola has killed fewer than 10,000 this century and the Coronavirus has killed about 3,000. Why do exotic viruses like Ebola generate so much hype?

Because we know something about the flu. Ebola and COVID-19 hasn't been figured out yet.

We equally able to ignore the 60,000 deaths per year from Opioid overdoses and the thousands of deaths per year that occur in inner cities. The Media decides for us what we need to be concerned about.
