Why do we need to add a 51st state?

'Fraid not. The best they could hope for is to be reunited with Maryland. Virginia already took their chunk back in 1860.
So you understand that the "carve out" has precedent. Great. Nothing says it HAS to be incorporated into an existing state

Indeed. But it has to be approved by Congress as a new state, and that will not happen. There is nowhere else to go.

The U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives would need to approve the statehood admission of both DC and Puerto Rico by a two-thirds majority vote.

Fat chance.

Not really. Puerto Rico is a simple majority vote while the issue over D.C. is that they need to change the Constitution. But the DemonRats will attempt to simply pass it and take their chances in court.

Once in court, if they can push it through, they will do what they always do, play the race card in an attempt to intimidate the courts.

Not as as explained above

Nope. So long as the Constitution stands, they cannot "push it through".

Do you think the DemonRats care about the Constitution? They will try and push DC statehood through both Houses with a simple majority and take their chance in court, as I stated previously.

This is the same DemonRats who held a trial for a private citizen. The Constitution stands?

The Constitution never stopped Democrat gun control, did it? Even though we fought a Civil War over that 155 years and supposedly won.

The Constitution doesn't count for anything in a Democrat courthouse. It never has. That's what made people so angry on the Union side of the Civil War. And now we're back where we were before the Civil War with respect to slavery, guns are banned for blacks no matter what, and Ivy League academics keep affirmative action chains around their necks, along with Title IX and all that other crap.

Why to add Puerto Rico or DC as states? The same reason we should consider Guam, the US Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Each of those places is populated by US citizens who do not have true representation in the federal government.

I find it strange how representation, which played an important part in the revolution, is today seemingly considered so unimportant by so many.

Congress has lost all respect for the Constitution and a Constitutional form of government. LBJ betrayed the Constitution and "pushed through" the Gun Control Act of 1968, enforced ever since in continuing defiance of Constitutional authority. The Dems will push anything through in spite of a Constitution which has never mattered to the party of sweat, blood, toil, and sexual appeasement.

Lincoln should have forever banned the Democratic Party.

Absolutely. But the Dems had him assassinated before he could do that. Virginia took over the southern part of the District of Columbia --- all of which remains under Confederate control to this day, along with the vast majority of cities, towns, and counties throughout the South.

Well if we do take on Puerto Rico then we can give Hawaii back to its natives so we won't have to change the flag.
Damn. It sounds like the Hawaiian Native royalty kissed and made up with the Japanese imperialists over Pearl Harbor.
We stole Hawaii, in case you didn't know the history.

It is a two-thirds vote for Puerto Rico. Where did you get that bad information?

They are already determined to add Mexico and Central America to the give-away roles. Maybe we should just allow PR to annex Mexico and call it even.
