Why Republicans won't investigate the Benghazi emails they "altered"

WH Benghazi emails have different quotes than earlier reported - CBS News

But it turns out that in the actual email, Rhodes did not mention the State Department.

It read: "We need to resolve this in a way that respects all of the relevant equities, particularly the investigation."

Republicans also provided what they said was a quote from an email written by State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland.

The Republican version quotes Nuland discussing, "The penultimate point is a paragraph talking about all the previous warnings provided by the Agency (CIA) about al-Qaeda's presence and activities of al-Qaeda."

Altering emails is a "frame-up". In the real world, it's not legal.

Remember the 9 billion that disappeared in Iraq? Republicans refused to investigate.

Remember Halliburton and the substandard housing killing American soldiers? No investigation.

Remember when Republicans blocked Obama from investigating BP?

Subpoena power in BP oil spill investigation blocked by Senate Republicans

And remember the other scandals and every one began with a Republican. If they do investigate, it has to be in "secret". They are lucky Republicans controlled the government when no WMDs were found in Iraq. No wonder Bush tried to pack the Supreme Court. For once, he was looking ahead.

Why can't they concentrate on helping this president? Instead of protecting their own asses over the good of the country. And Republicans insist it is "they" who love America? Seriously? How can they keep saying that with any conviction?

Makes you wonder about the other "so called" scandals. Haven't heard much about them lately.
