Don’t be stupid; if the virus goes crazy in prisons it will then go crazy out here - hundreds of staff going in and out to work every day will bring the virus into the community, and all the sick prisoners will overwhelm the hospitals - they can’t be treated in prison infirmaries which aren’t equipped.

Bear in mind that a great many people in jails and prisons are nonviolent offenders and don’t come close to deserving a death sentence for their crimes. Jails and prisons are releasing nonviolent offenders with very short time left to serve in order to reduce overcrowding and provide some opportunity for a semblance of social distancing inside.

Anyone against these measures is an anti science moron.
