Tibet was not a UN member at the time it was invaded, it was seen as part of China.

All of our "Allies" in the region are doing more trade with China than they do with the US.

I live in the world of facts, not feelings.

I am not ruled by my emotions like you. It seems you see the word "communist" and break into a cold sweat of fear.

In the meantime you overlook all the things our own country has done.

China does not want a war, they are kicking our ass economically, mostly due to our own self-inflicted wounds.

During the time the US spent trillions in the the Middle East, China was spending their money helping to build ports in Latin and South America. They were spending billions helping to improve the infrastructure of countries all around the world. They do this as they know it will help them grown their customer base for the future.

Even in Panama, where you know I am planning to move, China has been very active while the US has ignored it. The US could not even bother to appoint a official ambassador for 4 years to one of the most strategically important countries in the whole world. And then folks in the US whine about how China is gaining too much influence.

I love and am proud of my children, yet I can still tell them when they are fucking up and being idiots. I do not have to ignore that just because I love them....in fact it is that love that makes me not ignore it.

But they are being smarter than the US in many ways.

I wish the US would spend less on wars and more on securing allies for the future. I wish the US would not ignore its own little part of the world while focusing almost solely on the Middle East.

But alas, none of that has come to pass.

Uh, yeah, I guess.

The Native Americans would like to have a word about killing people for territorial gain.

Here's the ugly truth about Tibet. The theocracy of the Lamas was horrible to live under for Tibet's peasantry. which is probably why they saw the arrival of the PLA as more of a liberation than an invasion.

Heck, even the Dalai Llama was a victim. The monks decided to kidnap this kid and declare him a holy leader without giving him much of a say in the matter.
