Hunters have hunted some birds to extinction, yet they are still allowed to hunt.
The Canadian Goose (as does the American Bison) owes its very existence to hunters. They realized that they needed to protect them and they did so when NO OTHER "ENVIRONMENTAL" group would do so.
No environmental group has EVER done as much as the various hunting organizations to preserve wildlife and by a tremendous margin. Environmentalists frequently do more harm than good whereas the hunting groups realize their way of life will end if they don't do it right so they spend far more money and get far better scientists to do the work of preservation.
They don't know the difference between a conservationist and an environmentalist. There is a world of difference between the two. One actually understands nature and the other only wants to feel good about himself.
