Wisconsin reports more than 2,300 new cases, 16 deaths as COVID spirals 'out of control'

Pretty sure Donald can kiss any prospect of winning Wisconsin buh-bye.

Wisconsin's coronavirus crisis is dire and is going to get worse before it improves, state health officials said Wednesday.
The warnings were paired with the announcement of an alternate care facility set to open next week at State Fair Park in West Allis, intended to help free up beds at hospitals inundated with coronavirus patients.
"Our state is in a dangerous place," state Health Services Secretary-designee Andrea Palm said. "We are overwhelming our health care system."
Hospitals in Wisconsin are treating nearly triple the number of coronavirus patients as a month ago, and they're doing so with dwindling bed capacity and severe staffing shortages as hundreds of health care workers exposed to the virus in the community are forced to quarantine at home.

"This is going to get worse before it gets better. Our current surge in cases will lead to even more hospitalizations, and we must prepare for that," Palm said.

2300 very treatable cases is spiraling out of control????...that's laughable.....
And the hospitals are nowhere near capacity... Just wow...

And in other news 1300 people died yesterday and 1300 more will die today and tomorrow from tobacco poisoning

Gee I wonder what the statistical avenge is for deaths from traffic accidents or even deaths due to heart attacks. How about death due to being choked and asphyxiation from excessive bullshit?

This sounds about right. The amount of time from an event until an outbreak or hotspot happens.

trump has been to Wisconsin twice in the campaign. The last time was September 17th. Which is exactly 3 weeks ago.

I bet if you look at where trump has had his rallies you will find increases of the virus.

He doesn't social distance. Very few wear masks.

People get the virus at his rallies then goes home and spreads it everywhere they go.

It's not surprising Wisconsin is having such a hard time with the virus.

.6% mortality rate what's the fuss about liberals???

#47 fails the epidemiological quiz. Latitude places free-floating COVID-19 in the water at Lake Superior beaches.

We listen to doctors and scientists.

Who tell you what you already decided is fact. You ignore all the other doctors and scientists out there who contradict what you believe.

It's kinda like climate science Taz. On the HACK side there are TeeVee weathermen and oil company scientists with an agenda and yet peer-reviewed CLIMATE Scientists are 95% or better in agreement that manmade climate change is a reality.

With the COVIDS there are hacks with a political agenda and there are infectious diseases experts and Immunologists.

No one but EXPERTS in their fields should be afforded the time of day.

So you'll agree with these experts from Harvard, Stamford, and Oxford as well as 6300 other medical practitioners in the US and UK who say continued lockdowns are the wrong approach and we need to work towards herd immunity?

#52: you also prove that you would not make a very good
epidemiologist. No Homo sapiens knows what dose of COVID-19 is required to create an intermediate host in nature, nor the mechanisms involved, let alone other parameters such as open cuts, etc.

Yes I saw a bogus link earlier about the 6300 so called "scientists" from a website rated tin foil hat material. These may be doctors and they may be scientists (unlikely on either) but they are DEFINITELY not experts on infectious diseases or epidemiology.

Take Donald's new muse for instance - Dr Scott Atlas who believes in the "herd mentality" thing. He's a fucking RADIOLOGIST who knows NOTHING.

This is all well and good happy talk, but to achieve herd immunity, first you need a vaccine combined with 65% of the US population contracting the COVIDS. That would take 2-3 years at best, and the experts say that a minimum of 1 and as many as 2 million would die. Do you REALLY wanna go there?

Once again, #56 mouths off, though viral infection, as any educated radiologist knows, can mimic radiation pathology in the cell.

Damn, I thought the Democrats were saying that rioting, looting, and burning down the state would protect you from Covid-19...

Oh, well....

So like I said before, you'll only follow the science that affirms what you already believe and discards what does not.
