Trying to figure out what's "essential" and what's not is mind numbing.

Yesterday I wanted to buy some frames and shadow boxes for some vintage matchbooks and trading cards I want to display. Michael's was open. Hobby Lobby was not. Somehow, Michael's is considered "essential", although for the life of me I don't understand how both of them don't fall into the same category.

A friend of mine manages a liquor store; one in a local, four store chain. They're open seven days a week, although they've curtailed their hours a bit. All of the independent liquor stores in the area, though, have had to close.

There just doesn't seem to be a lot of continuity and, as a result, I think a lot of people aren't taking this whole thing as seriously as they might if rules and restrictions were applied equally...
