Xi’s Saudi Visit Shows Riyadh’s Monogamous Marriage to Washington Is Over

A few truths:
Saudi doesn't need US protection anymore.
America needs Saudi oil because it's own oil resources have been inflated far out of proportion. to reality.
China will deal with Saudi with no strings attached.

But Pompeo gets it right when he suggests that Americans should look the other way when Saudi does horrible things.
It's not as if America isn't guilty of doing horrible things a thousand times worse than Saudi's crimes against humanity. Iraq is an example of a later installment.

No, America shouldn't look the other way. Whether S.A or Canada, America should be firm in the promotion of civil liberties and rights.

As for America being "guilty of horrible things", it should be judged primarily by domestic human rights. If Saudi or any number of nations had the broad economic and military power the U.S had over a century, yu want to guess how many nations in their orbit would be occupied?

Since the end of WW2, America has been the evil aggressor by starting about 40 wars, and you still refer to America as a proponent of civil rights, human rights, and liberties?

I provided proof to you no more than two weeks ago on Canada being one of the world's leaders on freedom and rights, and the fact that America is far, far down the list!

Saudi is one of a very few nations that have a worse record on human rights than America.

But that being generous by comparing Saudi's chop/chop square with America's illegal and phony war on Iraq that cost over a million civilian lives.

Face reality my friend, or choose another champion to compare with Canada.
Your hard-on for your country's government just doesn't make your skewed views real, in the face of the evidence!
You alone are responsible for your criminal behaviour you're trying to keep hidden from us.

You focus on GWB and his excursions, they were an anomaly.

Cuba was a threat, they confirmed that all bets were off when they hosted Russian nukes. It doesn't matter the timing of this decision vs the Bay of Pigs, it illustated the intent. No powerful nation would allow a small one in their orbit pose such a threat.

Korea was the defense of capitalism for the South and their right to self determination.

Vietnam followed similar logic even if the political processes before might have avoided this.

Most other wars were excursions or proxy support. Russia did the same, the U.S countered them.

Those commit war to profit from it are evil and in my estimation, create danger for their own citizens long term. Not unlike the unaccountable, dishonest Security Industrial Complex in Canada...
