Since we're not a 'spacefaring race' as yet (probes and low-orbit manned spaceflight isn't quite 'spacefaring civilization' as usually defined,) I'd be of the ignore but monitor opinion.

If we had a Eureka! moment and could get significantly into space, I'd make it a 'wipe em out' opinion. We're too primitive, violent to ouro wn species and every other, and completely unsuitable for allowing out into space where we're gonna run into other civilizations. Can't get along with our own so why expect we'd get along with complete aliens?

The guess that, like humans on Earth, Aliens evolved from or as a predatory species then it would be just as likely that they would wipe us out after learning how to inoculate themselves for the viruses and bacteria that exist on this planet if it was an environment they could make use of.
If the environment was totally foreign or they were peaceful they would watch to find out if we posed a threat or we were likely to evolve into a peaceful life form. If we gave them cocern it would be logical to clear the human population and see what developed next.

Descend from the Heavens and harvest masses of humans as resources. When they are no longer needed, annihilate the survivors in a manner that leaves the Earth itself mostly unharmed. Then, use some kind of advanced technology to eradicate all remaining traces of humanity, before disappearing into deep space... only to arrive again many, many, years from now to repeat the cycle, by leaving a few young humans alive to begin anew and rebuild humanity, and perhaps even leaving some kind of technology or religions behind on earth or the surrounding areas to help guide humanity (and any other intelligent life in the galaxy) along a predetermined path that would ultimately lead to their inevitable apocalyptic end at your hands, over and over again until the end of time.​
