"Thousands of people in Gaza have ventured out from homes and shelters during a 12-hour ceasefire to find that whole streets and neighbourhoods have been destroyed in the last week.

"Israel and Hamas both agreed to a UN request to stop fighting from 8am until 8pm on Saturday.

"Shortly before the ceasefire took effect, at least 18 members of the al-Najar family, including many children, were killed in an air strike on Khan Younis, in the south of the Gaza Strip.

"The family had recently gone there to escape fighting in a nearby village, a Palestinian health official said.

"As the Palestinian death toll in the 19-day-long conflict topped 1,000, diplomatic efforts to forge a longer ceasefire continued in Paris. Foreign ministers from seven nations – the US, France, Britain, Italy, Germany, Turkey and Qatar – called for an extension of Saturday's 12-hour humanitarian truce."

Israel's announced plans to increase the level of ethnic cleansing once the twelve hours pass.

ISRAEL extended the cease fire for four more hours, Hamas keeps firing.

The Israeli savages needed 12 hours to collect the blood libel from the dead goyim laying on the battlefield.

It's their greatest prize and used in the hebrew worship services. .... :doubt:

What a shame!

Work all your life to build something and then have Hamas destroy it.

Jews slaughter a captive civilian population to force a repudiation of their democratically elected political representatives in order to steal more land and water from their rightful owners. What a shame:eusa_boohoo:

Save it. We are well versed in your lies. Hamas probably should have extended the truce.

Yes.

Oh gee what's this?
The security cabinet on Saturday night decided to accede to a UN request and agree to a 24-hour extension of a humanitarian cease-fire until midnight Sunday.

Diplomatic officials said that despite the cease-fire, the IDF would act against any violation of the cease fire by the other side. In addition, during the lull in the fighting the IDF "will continue to neutralize the terror tunnels inside Gaza. Four terror tunnels were neutralized in Gaza on Saturday, despite the cease fire that was in place from 8:00 a.m."

The security cabinet will meet again on Sunday to discuss future steps.

The decision was made despite the continued rocket fire by Palestinians in Gaza. Sirens continued to sound in Beersheba, Ashdod, Ashkelon, and the Gaza frontier communities late Saturday. One Israeli was seriously injured by a mortar that exploded in the Eshkol regional council late Saturday.

You mean the truce the Jews used to continue neutralizing "terror" tunnels in Gaza?

Have you figured out why Jews kill kids for land yet?

Another extension by Israel, though they will respond to fire from Gaza.

Why are you incapable of understanding the cause of the fire from Gaza?
Jews have been stealing Arab land and water there since at least 1948.
Hundreds of thousands of Arabs have been ethnically cleansed from land that some of their families had lived on for generations.
Your faith seems to blind you to the crimes Israel commits in Palestine.
Maybe you should stop drinking the kool-aid?

Ambassador Oren said it brilliantly today on think it was CNN (I watched many news channels so they kind blur together:)

"We can't bring our soldiers home, they're already home."

Before armchair quarterbacking things try to put yourself in Israel's position. They've not known a single year of peace since their inception in 1948. We in the US are sick of a dozen or so years of war in Iraq and Afganistan. But at least we don't have to worry about rockets and suicide bombers (knock on wood.) So if we did, try to imagine US response. That's all Israel's doing, fighting for it's very life. They can't withdraw and try to ignore it when their next door neighbors are the ones lobbing bombs in all over them. Imagine if Canada and Mexico were both openly hostile with the US, would we sit back and endure it, content with our bomb shelters each day when rockets come in, or would we fight back?
