Frankly, I don't know why we permit ourselves to be so inconvenienced. Maybe that will change, beginning in October. Perhaps the laws that tie our hands against dealing effectively with the problem will finally be properly scrutinized and done away with.

How many of those kids said "thank you for saving me from that bad man", and how many of them said "I want my mommy"? Sounds like you've been listening to Fox again.

None of them kids would ever say such a thing because they wouldn't be aware of the illegal activity in the first place. If the adults are good to the kids that are in the picture, that is commendable, but that does not excuse the adults of the wrong doing that they are still guilty of. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Also don't forget that its the adults who are supposed to be setting the right example for the kids any ways. If the adults can't do that, then kick them to the curb. That is what I did with my dad who isn't sorry for any of the stuff that he is guilty of. My only regret is not washing my hands of him sooner.

You are aware that many of them broke no laws, aren't you? Showing up at a point of entry and requesting asylum is the proscribed way to do it, yet they were incarcerated and had their children taken. Others, who didn't cross at a point of entry surrendered to the first official they could find and experienced the same thing. They have to be on American soil to apply. It can't be done anywhere else.
