Americans keep rejecting women presidents but you may be right there. If the old Republican elites seize power back in the GOP they will absolutely run a woman and the Democrats will only ever run women from here on out. So they will force it that way. But it wont be Ivanka. Nikki Haley is who they are grooming to foist upon us.

I'm not seeing the Trump kids running until they get more experience, they are very young with no military experience.

Donald has been dabbling or kibitzing in the military and intelligence decisions for many years.
I'm still impressed by his instincts in Syria. The deep state experts were whining about the Kurds, and Trump moved our guys out of the way of the Turks. Now that the dust settled everyone's cool. The Kurds have oil, money, US tank protection, and are happy.
