If the unemployment rate was really at 4.7% then why did it increase to 4.9% after such a positive increase in the number of jobs? I would have thought that if we were at maximum employment, as the numbers suggest, then it shouldn't go up at all. Conclusion: The Obama administration misrepresented the situation in order to keep himself in office.

It went because more people, who hadn't been looking for work,decided to start looking.
